Going to be interesting to see how that team performs this season. Most likely losing Gardiner, Anderson a year older, Losing Kadri. Can’t see them doing anything more next season than they did the past one. Maybe they won’t even make it a seven game series against who ever they lose to in the first round.

Nice blog dude, but honestly the remaining FA's are not worth a chance bc of what the team is constructed now. If team lost out on Lee, I wouldnt have minded Ferland and a lower replacement for front net aspects etc.

If no offer sheet is forthcoming then trade away a few assets & picks to improve, its that simple (maybe )

I agree. I don't see any reason for them to be better, and they could find that they miss Kadri more than just for his bonehead penalties. The team is not exactly a gritty team.

Also, what's gonna happen with Marner? Now that we know he wants only a 3-year deal, an offer sheet makes no sense. But what if he can't reach agreement with the Leafs? Does he play in the KHL next season?

I think these young players are nuts with these two or three year contracts trying to make an extra million to three million on their next. Too much risk for multiple reasons as far as I’m concerned. Also, depending on what he’s looking for they may be forced to trade him. If it comes to him playing overseas I would think they trade him and try and recoup as much as possible.
