Yeah, and I think it's you. He's a career net minus possession player, a career 54.5% O-Zone starter, apparently now that +/- is a thing again, he's not good at that either.

Boom or bust signing. Good offensive player, can't stay healthy, short contract without big money. If he's healthy, it's a great signing, if he's not, oh well, 2 years at a relatively cheap AAV isn't going to break the team, can always buy him out after this year.

Botterill gets an A- on this one.

I mentioned this earlier, but it's funny that it's the same contract that post-concussion Connolly got from Toronto. Hopefully it works out better for us than it did for them. I think it will.

Johansson had good stats in the playoffs, so I'm not worried about him being shot already. The risk is if he gets another TBI

Risto for a solid 2c gonna cost us more cap so I agree. We will need to move so salary or buy out

Late to the party but Botts scores a solid "A" for this Mojo signing. It gives Ralph Malph so many more options now. As others have stated, there's still too much garbage on the roster. Unless Botts takes out the garbage, i fear that guys like Larsson , Wilson and Sobotka will make the team ahead of guys like Nylander, Thompson and Smith.

Vesey, Colin Wilson and Mojo are all very good acquisitions at very reasonable prices. Assuming one more significant trade this summer, I think Botts has accomplished the following - making us competitive in the eastern conference for a wild card spot while simultaneously setting us bigly next year when we shed all this crap from the roster.

Botts has done a good job so far this summer with some more work required.

Good post. Agree with all. Still need a 2c so mitts goes to 3c and gets a proper year of development but At this point, I don’t see that as a demotion. He will have more talent on the third line than he had on the second for the most part
