If Simon>Rust>Galchenyuk, how far down is Galchenyuk? - Tojo.
I think Galch is like.. 7th or 8th best forward on the team. Maybe 9th. |

Look at the résumés...Simon has more cups and more clutch goals - jchst22
I think cups are a team measurement if I’m not mistaken. And this whole clutch goal thing doesn’t really make a player unless your Justin Williams. Rust had like 1 game where he had “clutch goals,” the rest of his playoffs was quite pedestrian. Not terrible but not this weird playoff hero everyone makes him about to be. |

Truthfully, I'd have trouble ranking them. Seems like a lot of guys are close together, just offer different things, but they mostly all have a weakness that holds them back.
Do agree Galchenyuk doesn't move the needle for me. He's got more natural skill, but Malkin might be better served with 2 different wings. |

Possibly any of them. Galchenyuk is the worst defensive forward on the team and despite his talent, even guys like Tanev and ZAR were better offensively at ES. |

You have to try Galchenyuk with Malkin because of the trade. Maybe he ends up with Crosby at some point because they tilt the ice anyways.
Kahun has the highest pts/60 after the 3 stars and good possession metrics, so he's absolutely in my top 6. I might try McCann first because I like his shot, and don't really want to bump Jake out of position. But you can make a case for anyone, so I expect to see the blender in full effect early. |

Anyone aware of what these tweets were? - Rinosaur
The exact tweets, nope. But he often calls anyone who disagrees with him a moron, retard or worse. While he may not have had anything 'severe' he was well deserved a slap on the wrist for continuously being a colossal asshat. |

Food for thought. WAR60 over last 3 seasons per Corsica.
For additional perspective Kessel was a 0.02 WAR60 due to his extremely negative Defensive WAR. |

Kirk Maltby won 4. GTFOH with that garbage ass logic. - Feds91Stammer
Lol I remember Maltby. He wasn’t the most talented guy out there.
Anyway I think It’s hard to rank our forwards right now but I see a lot of people trying to push Galchenyuk down in our line up. Just wait and see. I feel like we have a lot of 15-20 goal scorers on our team. |

We just need 1 more mediocre season out of Simon or he'll want a raise. Got to find a way to get him under contract with some term for cheap |

$2.5M sounds good for him. 3 years. This with a hometown discount. |

Hopefully Simon goes the way of Brian Gibbons soon, or just decides he doesn’t want to play hockey anymore. Is he under contract? |

It’s the only team that he was linked to that makes any sense. But I’ll believe it when I see it. |

Think there are a lot of good middle six players on the roster but by season end you will find he is the 4th best.
One of my complaints about the Pens has been they never seem to have anyone who can shoot the puck and Galchenyuk certainly can. He is going to do really well on one of the top 2 lines. |

I think he is a guy you could tack onto a JJ trade instead of a mid round pick. He isn't a bad player but definitely not ideal in the top 9. |

Aside from being annoyed about the term of the Tanev contract, this forward lineup is going to be pretty solid. The important thing is that this is the type of lineup Sullivan wants to deploy. 4 lines that can constantly apply pressure.
The only glaring hole is one LD they need badly. On the JJ to Anaheim rumors, I'd love it if we just sent JJ and a 1st to bring Sprong back... just for fun. |
