Just ignore him, it’s obviously AJNKHN (or whatever his name is) who’s angry you called out his idiotic post on Twitter.

It's not me, and I don't have Twitter and didn't know about it before now (anyone who does have it for reasons beyond their work is a tool and self promoting narcissist who can't see the world beyond their screen because they're glued to their phone all the time), so wrong on both counts, but whatever assumptions make you feel happy...

This has got to be the strangest instance of blaming the fanbase I've ever seen. So...it's the fans fault that Ceci's value kept going down because they were negative about him on social media? As if other front offices look at Twitter and decide if a player is good or not? I've never once seen an argument like that, wow.

It's not the determining factor, but if you think it doesn't make a difference to how the rest of the league may assess the value of a player, that's equally eye opening. And yes, when you continue for years to harp on a player it eventually does have an impact and is one of the reasons his valuation league-wide continued to decline with each passing year. We saw the same thing with Kuba, Comrie, Meszaros and many others who have passed through the turnstiles here.

Yeah, Shackles really should have ignored this idiot.

Haha I mean it doesn't bother me or anything. But wow, that was something else.

All of those players were quite bad by the time they left Ottawa, so I'm not sure what the point is here.

Understanding there has been a long discussion on this already, but has anyone asked if any of those trade were real? Or was this another case of Ottawa negotiating with the other team thru the press? Dorion and Murray have a long history of releasing details to the press to try and help their case. Do I think in any world, Edmonton looks at a stats sheet and has Ceci for Hall as anything close to a straight across trade. They were probably asking for Hoffman and Ceci at the time. Eberle, similar ask, but maybe not someone as good as Hoffman. Drouin for Ceci and Chabot, would anyone do that deal now?

I suspect we are being led by the nose by the press releases, for what could have happened, but history has told us, never would have really happened. Obviously the Sens were trying to move him as far back as the Drouin rumoured trade, so does anyone think they thought him so untouchable, that they nixed a sure fire trade like that? Or is it more likely that this was a premature press release, in the nixed Spezza, nixed Heatley trade vein, previously.

It's not as if these rumours are just being dug up now, they were being told at the time as well. They constantly refused to give him up for over 3 years, we know that much. And tons of reporters have said over the years that he would've netted a solid return.
