Lee scored 40 playing with a superstar too. Swap Lee and Skinner and their production would change to.
- Pegullaville

Lee is 29 in 2 days

Skinner just turned 27

We overpaid by 500-750k to keep a 40 goal scorer

You need to get over it

Come on. There has to be another move for Rochester somewhere... lol... I know it’s only day one... bit Vesey isn’t the culture change we need. I hope botts gets his man!

Wow, seems like a lot of people were hoping for big things today? I can understand. Personally, I’d like Nylander & Vic to get some real minutes, see what they’re all about. I want to not spend $hit on the 4th line, ever. I wanna keep developing Casey, at center, with the better wings he’s gonna have this year. He’s played one season and he’s really skilled but he’s also a kid that needs development. Oh and Tage..I want Tage playing. I want him to get beat up and go to the net and get punched in his face and play through it and DEVELOP. I guess I just wanna know what we have instead of speculating wildly or giving roster spots to 29 year old 3rd liners. I do love the strategy of it all and this off-season I’ve particularly enjoyed Botterill’s.

Hahaha I feel you man.
Vesey is definitely one of the more compelling acquisitions anyone made today and maybe some people on the board feel that way? You’re not really paying for potential on July 1st, you’re paying for past production..which isn’t an ideal way to build really. I mean, it’s kindof unavoidable, a dude kills it and you’re gonna pay to keep him. But sound management will sign the right players to deals where said are eventually out-performing those deals, even it’s only a year or two before you have to really pony up. Kinda like Sam’s contract.

The New Jersey Devils have signed Matt Tennyson to a two-year, two-way contract.
The contract is worth $700,000 each year at the NHL level and $350,000 ($400,000 guaranteed) each year at the AHL level. Tennyson appeared in four games with the Buffalo Sabres last season. He also had four goals and 21 points in 47 games for Rochester of the AHL in 2018-19.

If only we can throw more trash out.
