The Leafs aren't in cap hell. They are in having very good players heaven. Leaf fans need to go do some tai chi outside or something.

Leaf cap is tight, but they have lots of great players....tends to happen. Lot better than being in cap hell and not being a good team.

When we see the contract Tyler Franking Myers signs tomorrow, we will all wonder why we didn't keep Zaitsev and Gardiner.

I’d assume the Leafs want a RHD.

Who knows though. They could even be thinking of signing Gards and swapping Muzzin for one of these RHD with 1 year left.

We will see the plan unfold soon enough.

So once the trade goes through, Ceci now becomes the 2nd most likely player to receive an offer sheet in the league?

Remember in 2014-15 and 2015-16 when we had plenty of cap space?

Ceci will likely get around $5 mil in arbitration. If he plays well the Leafs can extend in January. Likely a 5 year ext...again around $5 mil per. Trade has to happen before any of this and there could be other elements involved.

Yeah that’s just silly.

No team is going into Arb with Ceci this year and that’s a fact.

That's what I don't understand about Marner's apparent annoyance at not being in the NHL at 18. Like he would've wanted to be on a line with Spalling and PA Parenteau or Winnik and Arcobello.

He wouldn't have hit any bonuses that year

I saw the Rolling Stones last night. A bunch of septegenarians came out on on stage and melted everyone's faces off. It was unbelievable. They have some kind of rock 'n' roll immortality pact with the devil man.

It’s quite simple.

Ceci’s agent and teams are allowed to talk to eachother right now....possibly about their summer plans...but most likely how much money teams would want Ceci at.

It happens every year at this time. RFA’s and UFA’s are allowed to talk to eachother and in the event Ceci becomes a UFA if the Leafs deny arbitration he will want to know his worth.

I just threw up in my mouth reading those names.

Holy frank, those were bad times.

I remember a few nights, I could not give away tickets.
