You seriously think Brown is better than Johnsson and Kapanen? I like Brown, but he's a luxury the Leafs can't afford. Its another way to save cap space.

Agreed. I’d give Ceci a shot on a one year prove it deal if the cap hit was minimal, but if he’s looking for anything like Zaitsev’s $4.5 mln or higher, buh-bye. Rather re-sign Hainsey for a couple mill to play on the bottom pairing. Then try and add a couple of top-4 guys via trade.

I'm not sure I've ever seen a player disappear the way Brown did last year. I wouldn't mind keeping him to see if he can turn it around, but he was useless last year.
