Barrie is purely offense. Ellis is better defensively. Leafs wouldn't be great defensively but would have a ton of options for the pp. Maybe Rielly with 4 forwards on the first unit then Ellis Barrie on the second pairing or something. Be nice to have Ellis shot on the second pairing. Haven't had a one T on the powerplay since Brian McCabe.

Have a feelin either Ceci signs at a cheaper couple year than Z, a bridge deal of sorts, or we walk from arbitrator and just ditch him off and clear the whole 4.5... bobby Mac sayin pretty much done save waiting for July 1 for the bonus payment. As for Marincrap being signed... depth and vet presence for the Marlies only hopefully but well...

If we get Ceci I think it's to let him walk or to trade him. If I'm not mistaken they'll have to qualify him at 4. Something. I think it's a way to trade zaitsev without adding a sweetener.

Edit: don't really know cecis contract situation or if he's qualified yet if he is an RFA. If he's not I doubt the trade goes through before July 1st when zaitsev gets his bonus and I think if Ceci is not qualified by then he becomes a ufa. I'm way to lazy to research that but I imagine someone will correct me.

Arbitrator will give Ceci at least the same if not more than Zaitsev. Despite the fact that he sucks.
