I think on a 2 year deal Pavs makes perfect sense. I'm still not sold on Strome as the 2C or that Chytil is quite ready for that role. I don't think Pavs is a long term solution, but I think as some sort of bridge to the future he makes perfect sense. If Strome progresses or if Chytil breaks out, Pavs still looks pretty good on the third line.

Pretty much agree with everyone...if we don’t sign Panarin, then just hold steady and continue the rebuild. Let the kids get some playing time, get 1 year closer to all of our crappy contracts expiring, and continue to rebuild.

We’re still a few years away from competing so anyone older than panarin doesn’t make sense.

If he would be willing to split the difference, I could roll with 3 years. Really the third season is probably our best chance at the cup. If he can still contribute, he would be a really great asset to have. If he can't depending on how much the contract was for, the buyout probably wouldn't be too bad.

it wouldn't be a bad idea, but the fact is, he hasn't even talked to the Rangers, he was in Dallas yesterday touring their facilities, his whole family in tow

seems like it's either Dallas or San Jose for Pavelski and nobody else is in ballpark

I also think that you won’t see Vesey or Nam on this team next season. I could be entirely wrong but I think they find a way to fit Kreider In Kreider too.

I heard a Florida beat writer on Sirius after Eliott Friedman who seemed to not count out the Islanders from landing both Panarin and Bobrosvky as a pair, he mentioned the whole Brighton Beach-Russian neighborhood thing as a factor, and a new building in Belmont not too far away

I dont buy it, although I think the Isles and Bobrovsky is very possible
