I do. I like Strome. He’s a solid vet. I think he he gets moved eventually tho. But I’m fine with him at 2nd line center for now. But I would love to get a future number 2C if the opportunity strikes (like I had been mentioning Willy K before he reupped)

Id love Hertl or Meier but I think it’s a pipe dream. I don’t think it helps their cap situation adding Kreider who is going to want 7 million on his next deal. Buch+ maybe, but I don’t see Kreider as a fit

They have to let someone go tho. He’s due in 3 years I believe so it’s apples to apples really. But yea I don’t expect it.

I only mentioned Clarkson on that list, due to Vegas being sorry now, as opposed to prior to the Expansion Draft when coming into the league, that they still have his idle $5.25M tied up for this season, in which they desperately need cap space. Back then, they received along with Clarkson, a 2017 1st Rounder & a 2019 2nd Rounder from Columbus, in exchange for only Expansion Draft considerations. That was when Clarkson still had 3 years remaining on his horrible 7 year term contract given to him by Toronto.

The Leafs had originally disposed of Clarkson's contract in 2015 when it had 5 years remaining on it, in exchange for another similar long term injured player's contract in the Blue Jackets, Nathan Horton, who they were allowed to have free from counting towards their cap space.

This past season, the Blues proved wrong tomburton's tanking theory to win a Cup. They may have also proved wrong to all, & especially the Golden Knights, that it doesn't pay the vast majority of times to acquire a bad contract of any player, despite how good an additional "sweetner" or more may be if received to do so, since it could cost you at some point later on. However, the Knights never thought that future point it would affect them would be as early as after just their second season in the NHL.

I look at Andersson Howden Chytil all in the same bag as to who our 2/3C will be. I think Chytil could be moved to wing and Howden would be best suited as a 3C. I think package one of Howden/Andersson, a winger (Buch/Kreider) add a 1st and take a run at a guy like Meier. Leave Strome as the 2C for now and put him between Meier and Panarin. That’s a DEEP lineup.

I could not find it.
But I did see one yesterday on some NHL twitter link that stated Marner would be signing with the Isles. I put that one to rest for now, shortly after seeing that Toronto will do whatever's possible to retain him.

The Buzz (EK) has now that Columbus is the likely destination for Robin Lehner. That would compliment what I heard earlier today on NHL Network via Elliotte Friedman, & mentioned here in the past few hours, that the Isles were very much in the hunt for Panarin and Bobrovsky, despite many people feeling those two will end up becoming Panthers.

They can’t negotiate yet. But I will say, all three of these teams rumored will probably have the same offers give or take a few bucks. Obviously all 7 years. So I guess it could get out somehow before monday, where it’s bascially just the city hes deciding on
