I have been saying for months that these RFA deals are nuts, but that's where we are now. And the Leafs are just as to blame as anyone else.

It doesn't kick in till the cap is 81.5m though.

More recently Kucherov signed his deal after a 100 point season. At the 13.4% at the time, it would equate to 10.92 million now. He is older, but had played 3 years at the time. Mitch at 8.6 or whatever does;t really jive with the current contracts. I'd love it if it happened but it's not realistic.

Stop blaming the Leafs about how the system is (frank)ed.. it was the Oilers and Buffalo that (frank)ed it all up. And Toronto is now a victim because of it.
