1) None. They don't know how much money they have until Marner is resolved.
2) No-one. They don't know how much money they have until Marner is signed.
3) No-one. They don't know who they can afford to trade and how much money they can take on until Marner is signed.
This may not all be literally true, but Marner is the largest issue to be resolved and it does have cascading effects.

I hope Duchene signs a huge deal with Montreal. 9 million plus is way too much for him. |

Should’ve just drafted Hanifin in the first place. - Steven_Seagull
Imagine the difference (and the cap space) had we drafted Laine and Hanifin.
We could probably offer sheet Matthews or Marner by now. |

I was told the sens are building a stanley cup contender in the next 3-5 years.
Then I realized they can't even build an arena downtown. |

He's a ok 1C and a great 2C. He will be as overpaid as he is overrated. |

I'd take Duchene at 9 over Hayes at 7.1 At the very least Duchene can skate so he might last a little longer. |

Really interested in Bob. He's 30 (31 at the start of the season) and still a Vezina level goalie in a world starved of goalies...but he's going to want 7 and 10mil or something. I can see 10mil on a 5 year deal at best, but who the (frank) is anybody kidding that he'll be around at 38? Especially since his deal will probably be 80% signing bonuses in the first 4 years like all these other mega deals. |

I am as well. I'd stay as far away from that as possible. The problem is that some GMs are desperate and lack goaltending. That's a recipe for disaster and I could see a contract like that really sinking a team. I get that you need a good goalie to win, but the times we've seen a Murray or a Binnington (god (frank)ing damnit) win a Stanley Cup makes me wonder if you need someone that's serviceable that can punch above their weight class here and there. I don't believe in paying goalies as much as top line centers or #1 defenseman, but I'll admit that's tricky, when the position is such a pivotal one. Also, they're (frank)ing voodoo and can go from a world beater to a (frank)ing bum within a season, let alone from one to the other. |

I dont think many high priced goalies win the cup. Price hasnt, lundquist hasnt, Rinne didnt, Crawford is like a 5 million dollar goalie and Niemi won one too. |
