Oh no he owes nothing to the Canucks, we played the bulk of the salary , gave him a great chance to succeed , even traded him to the only place he wanted to go, it was reported that there is just under 4mil in salary , of which the Canucks would pay 800,000 a yr if ltir but the Panthers would have to some juggling to make it work, so instead we pay more again, this is a middle finger to the Canucks, plain and simple - onesmallleap
Probably as much to the fans as the team. We still can't go two weeks without blaming him in here for losing in 2011.
He sign a legal contract (at the time), Tiny Jump and owes the Canucks nothing. - Marwood

Tiny or leap would have signed that contract in a f*cking heartbeat if they were in Lu's shoes. He was the best goalie in canuck history and that's it. Huge congrats on a brilliant career and wish him well. People whining about luongos cap penalty need to shut up.
There is talent there. They talked about a few players like Hoglander standing out , Lockwood , Madden . Utenen looked good. Not much said about OJ. - VANTEL
OJ is skating on his own, doing rehab with Woo.
Those players should stand out a bit, they are older play vs better competition.
Adrian Elefalk is somewhat I kind of wanted to know more on. How do you go from 5 points in 31 games in the NAHL to 3 points in 13 games in the SHL.

It's 3 million for 3 years. Just means we can't overspend in free agency the next couple seasons trying to solidify the bottom 6 more. Going to have to develop.

Probably should do this regardless of a recapture penalty or not

Man that’s frustrating. The fact that a surprise cap hit is beneficial because it cripples our GM’s ability to do stupid poop is ridiculous.

We do get back the 800 K we were paying LU in salary so the difference is 2.2 mil.

This summer's UFA's remind me of the Loui Eriksson UFA class. One or two top dogs and a bunch of overpaid talent behind them waiting to cash in. Just leave the wallet closed.
