yeah, I enjoy that guy's videos. Haven't seen his Pod one yet, I'll check it out tonight.
His rankings are meh though, they don't always sync well with his actual scouting reports, he even admits that he's not good at ranking players. |

He'll join Flo rida as a coach and get a ring when they win the cup in a couple years with the free agent player they sign from saving money on the cap by him retiring. - kaptaan
They’re not going to win a thing. The ruskies will sign. They will look good for a few months and then use their $10 million/year on flip flops and blow in south beach. |

He has a bit of E.Kane/Booth/Kreider in his game, a lot of one man rushes where he takes a shot down the wing or drives the puck to the net by himself. Not a lot of creativity/vision in his game despite his skill. He makes simple plays offensively, and he's good at making those simple plays. He does have the talent to make some nice skill plays once or twice per game, but it's not consistent.
Nothing wrong with a 20-25 goal power forward on your 2nd line that loves to drive the puck to the net with force and is a puck hound on the forecheck.
He has the potential to be what everyone hoped Virtanen was. - Nucker101
Young though, lots to learn. |

I don't remember that far back. I do see now that he played for 5 teams in 3 years Van being the 5th. A perspective like that could certainly help the kids that have a tough time handling fame. - manvanfan
talk back in mtl/nyr was that he would have been a good friend of vanek. |

The Gillis era still haunting us for 3 more years. - Bettmanhatesus
I'm a little surprised by your take on this. It had nothing to do with Gillis. He signed a legal contract with his player following several examples that had already set the precedent. Bettman simply changed the rules after the fact. |

Freaking Luongo retires to save Florida money ,while screwing the Canucks. What a pos , - onesmallleap
Word is FLA pushed him out against his will. Apparently LTIR wasn't an option for him. |

How is retiring on your terms not an option when you have a contract , it was reported that the Panthers needed him to do it this way , because that cant afford the actual cash to pay the ltir |

Great week for Benning really, gave up three players for JT Miller a 50 pt forward and has acquired a 3 mil cap hit from the Gillis era what's next??

It's an option for every team in the league that lies enough to the NHL about the seriousness of the injury. |

The guy speaks well & pretty good at breaking down prospects.
At 10oa Pod looks solid although not flashy & nothing wrong if he makes a line go as the compliment winger. Bo can use him while we develop a scorer on his other side. Lockwood Madden Lind are not exactly snipers but they all have a certain blend of skills that can work.
We are setting up as more of a lunch bucket hard working tougher team to play against. It’s not sexy but it gets results. Hughes on the backend & maybe OJ & Rathbone will generate the offence to balance it out. |

Well since we are paying him 3 mil per may as well have him suit up here and back up Marky. One more year in the AHL won't hurt Demko.

Only a medical could determine that. If fit then that’s life. If he could play & wanted to play nothing FLA could do unless he caved. |

I think he needs to watch more NHL hockey and see the parts of junior kids games that will translate into NHL. See the "little things" that NHL teams see in the kids.
I think it was JB who said that he would really compliment the players they have probably meaning EP. That's the type of player you want EP to play with. One who will get to the puck and get it to him. Push the defence back and give him time and space to score goals.
I did have him ranked 7th in my draft but I also do a sort of projected 82 game scoring once he's fully developed and he was I think 11th in there. I had him at 60 points. Others players I have scoring more but doing a lot less of the dirty work and not as good defensively so they were ranked lower. Basically he had a better all around package and not just a scorer.
He's not a super skilled player that's for sure but I think that's a part of his game that can be improved upon over time. |

It's pretty laughable that Flyer's signed Brian Elliot again. Do they actually expect Carter Hart to play all 82 games? |

And because the rules changed, gave Gillis the option to buy out the contract for no penalty at all. He decided the contract was worth the recapture risk, knowing what the recapture rule was. |
