Bad influence on McCann? He already was a cock selfish kid. - Bettmanhatesus
Yeah but I think it was the exhaustive partying they did lead by virtanen. Just speculating but that's what I heard. |

Hoglander at Dev camp Kid looks like he's a hard worker - NorthNuck
I saw today that Chris Higgins is a special guest coach for the few days. If I remember correctly he was always in very good shape during his career. Maybe he's someone to take the role of director of player development.
He never had the greatest shot or skated the fastest but still had a pretty decent career. Someone who had to work hard to be in the NHL seems like a good mentor for the kids. |

In all fairness to Kaptaan Page did buy Alister Crowley’s former home. Also he admits to dabbling in the occult and black magic. |

I can't F"N wait to hear the Brent Seabrook's LTIR excuse in like 1 year.

Hoglander is probably the cutest Canuck drafted since Jake. |

i could see it and i agree with you. add in the fact that he almost washed out of the league due to excessive partying helps provide perspective. if i recall correctly, it was in vancouver that he turned his career back around. |

Dont even need an excuse in some instances.
Joffrey Lupol literally said on social media the leafs "made up" his injury to keep him on LTIR.

Freaking Luongo retires to save Florida money ,while screwing the Canucks. What a pos , - onesmallleap
Craps the bed in Game 7 and now this. No Ring of Honour for him. |

The first 3 forwards picked are all dudes who rarely take shifts off, they love applying puck pressure, not sure if it's a coincidence or if the Canucks specifically placed an emphasis on these traits.
Just like with Jake and OJ, the challenge will be to evaluate Pod without having the "Top 10 pick = 1st liner mentality"
Realistically, he's more of a 2nd line talent. - Nucker101
Pod has a real high ceiling and strong character. |

I don't remember that far back. I do see now that he played for 5 teams in 3 years Van being the 5th. A perspective like that could certainly help the kids that have a tough time handling fame. |

Pod has a real high ceiling and strong character. - Bettmanhatesus
He has a bit of E.Kane/Booth/Kreider in his game, a lot of one man rushes where he takes a shot down the wing or drives the puck to the net by himself. Not a lot of creativity/vision in his game despite his skill. He makes simple plays offensively, and he's good at making those simple plays. He does have the talent to make some nice skill plays once or twice per game, but it's not consistent.
Nothing wrong with a 20-25 goal power forward on your 2nd line that loves to drive the puck to the net with force and is a puck hound on the forecheck.
He has the potential to be what everyone hoped Virtanen was. |

He'll join Flo rida as a coach and get a ring when they win the cup in a couple years with the free agent player they sign from saving money on the cap by him retiring. |
