Satan isnt an occult thing. Lucifer is. Lucifer is Pagan. Satan is old testament. Roman church was who identified them as the same but Lucifer was only mentioned once in the old testament I think and it was not a reference to Satan.

Lucifer is ancient solar cult.

Lucifer is mentioned in Isaiah 14:12
How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

You know what the cap is in three years ?
- VANTEL

No, do you? I mean we're talking about $26M for those players + Luongo. Just exactly how much do you expect the cap to rise?

Well this was a small jump this year and it went up two mil the same amount that we had to pay extra with the recapture penalty .

So if I times that by three I will guess six mil at least.

I don't think you can blame Benning for Gillis's stupid contracts .

The owner has been here for both.

Only Luongo's $3M is on Gillis. Benning must have known about that before he signed on, I mean we all did.

Of course, some thought it would never happen. Don't worry that we overpaid for Beagle, traded picks for Gudbranson's and Sutter's, cap space won't be an issue. Now we aren't worried about trading a 1st round pick as part of a package to a cap strapped team because we're going to go for it and make the playoffs.

We aren't against signing declining players to long term contracts, because the GM saves his job? Why? Because of his drafting?

He's had the opportunity at a pile of top 40 picks for 6 years, like no Canucks GM has seen in a long time. I sure as hell hope he has some nice new shiny pieces, but he has holes to fill because he never hung on to his other picks to begin with. He continued that trend at this draft, despite it being obvious to anyone who can't be described as anything else than "Benning loyalists" that he overpaid.

I would avoid the rush . Why wait until year three is up . It gives you a whole 1000 days ahead of us to be angry at it.

OK but $26 million is 25% of $104M, do you think it will exceed that?

Smyl said they knew about it and it won't be stopping them from going ahead and doing what they started.

Thanks.

The reference is solar cult all the way. Son of the morning=sun. Just one of the endless adaptions from old pagan cults. Even the Free Masons have a thing for Lucifer but not Satan.

Satan has been called Prince of darkness etc... Lucifer is light/sun/enlightened one.

You do realize it doesn't necessarily mean it's a good plan right?

I will be honest if you don't mind and this is not aimed at you.

I am well aware of the anger and hatred of half the fan base but I trust this management a hell a lot more that I do the armchair GMs of the internet.

You're one of the biggest ones out there. You have opinions and if they don't align with what is going on you question it. I don't see what's different. Don seems rich, he can buy everyone calculators. Cap management is half of a GM's job.

This is a hockey forum dedicated to the Canucks. We're all fans, even the trolls are hockey fans. It's not like people that don't like hockey stop by and become regulars because it's so exciting around here.

We just all have differing opinions on how to run a hockey club. Some are minor, some are major. That makes all of us armchair GM's.

I don't try to come across as a know it all and if I do I apologize. I try to add things I have heard earlier in the day or something I read. I specifically added very little a day ago when everyone was angered at the Myers talk. My intention was let the boys blow off steam.

I knew there was going to be a lot of change and I knew there would be a lot of backlash but my honest opinion is we are building one of the best Canucks teams ever and I do trust this group even when they do screw up.

I was supportive of benning until he traded away a first plus for JT Miller at the behest of the idiot Aquaman, as far as I can tell. I think Aquaman is a cancer to the team.

Meh, about the same as the rest of us.

That's a fair opinion base on young elite talent. I however feel we've looked for too much help externally whereas the internal payoff would just be coming in over the past season or two and into the future.

I'm not a fan of trading picks nor adding salary until you're close.
