Murphy was taken with the 12th overall pick in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, but he never developed as hoped. He has eight goals and 43 points in 175 career NHL contests. In 2018-19, he only appeared in three NHL games.


Imagine that, 12th overall and he didn't develop, who would have thought. Picks and Prospects, trust the process.................... for 50 years.

Patience, picks, prospects and cap space is the way to go I was told. Also trading
Risto solves everything.

Assuming no further major moves, here's my lineup:

skinner -eichs - olofsson
sheary - rhino - tage/nylander
erod - mitts - tage/nylander
girgs - larry - okposo

If we don't bring in a 2C to bridge the gap until mitts is ready, rhino needs to be the guy IMO. I think he's ready to go back to C, certainly a better option at 2C then anyone else on the roster right now. In the perfect world we keep him with eichs/skins but we are not nearly deep enough to keep all that talent on the first line.

And if Botts can bring in one or 2 legit middle six wings, we won't be relying heavily on tage/nylander/VO to perform. But at some point we need to drop these guys in the water and see how they swim. Or outside shot someone we don't expect has a great summer/training camp and becomes a nice surprise for the middle six. Not banking on it, but it happens to other teams.

He dropped a wet poop on my floor at 1am so that was a fun cleanup while i was half asleep.

we had 5 guys up front get more then that last season

Montreal getting Duchene would be huge... Pagnotta keeps saying he is their #1 priority.

They only have 10M in cap space today so they'd need to move some bodies (Shaw).

I'd happily take Domi, Drouin, or Tatar for our 2nd line.

He’s 21 years old ..... pump the breaks a bit. He had season where he was hurt / rehabbing the entire year.

I am not saying nylander is a star..... I am just saying he’s not a turd.
