I think Fitz is Ralph. It's either Fitz or Beady

Wow so you're saying he's been a mole for years on this board stirring spirited debates and studying fan thought patterns just anticipating the day when he got the Sabres coaching gig? Diabolical.

I was going to suggest he was someone that just joined in the past month, but I like your theory even better.

- Chris16

Ralph has been slow playing this.. he knew where he was going to be for years

I was just asking. You’re obviously not a fan. But you seem like you’re ready to dump the guy.

I think he can play a valuable role on this D. Not a top pairing guy but as a second pairing.

We might want to pump the brakes on Stralman a bit. I read an article last night on SB Nation that talked about him. He had a rough year with injuries (47 gp) and healthy scratches and at 32 he might be on the decline. The Lightning were rotating 7 d men throughout the year and when Stralman played he had different partners.

I wouldn't do more than a 2 or 3 year deal for him at under 4 per.

100% would I have given up the 31st to move Okposo and that horrible contract.
- SABRES 89

It took the Leafs a first to ditch the last year of Marleau's contract. It might have taken 2 or 3 1sts to dump Kyle "4 more years" Okposo

Services = missed

I believe it would be even a lower buy than that.

Yeah I wouldn't spend a ton on him. But some team might give him a longer term and more money. I wouldn't.

I think I would rather trade for Colin Miller and put him with Dahlin.

He’ll get a ‘prove it’ deal somewhere for 1 or 2 years. I’d take him here in a heartbeat if it’s for low term/$.

Even if he breaks his leg he’ll log more minutes than BOGO.

You know Ralph. Always skulking around bars, trolling Sabres fans. He's been doing it for years bro. He finally came clean.

Was listening to Paul Hamilton the other day and he made it seem like he'd be surprised if Botteril released and sent down 2/3 of Larsson, Girgensons and Sobotka. Paul to his credit had a rarely refreshing take when he stated he thought all three did the same thing and you only needed one on your roster.

Then today, there was a Canadian interview with Kruger where he mentioned Larsson, Girensons, Sobotka and Okposo as experienced players he's spoken with and looks forward to coaching them....

Is it a requirement for Buffalo sports authorities to be dumber than the average GM and coach or just a coincidence? Is it Botterill being to stubborn with his assets that he doesn't want to let go of Sobotka because he traded for him? I just don't get how he could not look at his numbers and attitude last year and WANT to have him on this roster...It's refreshing looking at teams like Dallas and Colorado actually not retain RFA's because they sucked or wanted too much money for their bottom six roles.

this was my biggest fear

throw wilson in the mix and elie as first call up

no doubt about it. when I mentioned the Sabres had contacted his camp, it was simply that.

Personally, I'd think he'd be a disappointing signing.

They cannot go into the season with Girgs and Larsson in the bottom 6. They need to upgrade that.

Nope. Easy pass. He’s not a good Risto replacement. That is my one issue with moving Risto is his replacement.

Yes I know the analytics on Risto aren’t great. But depending on bogo montour Nelson to pick up his minutes seems like a terrible idea.

Stralman even Miller aren’t even great replacements.

girgs, larsson, sobotka

and okposo if your lucky in the bottom 6

if pommer comes back on a 1 year deal, okposo might get that second line slot

throw wilson and elie in the mix for the bottom 6 as well

right now best case is we have skinner, eichel, reinhart, casey, olofsson and either nylander or a ufa as our top 6
