I am no fan of Gus and Larry, as everyone knows. But I understand why they were qualified. I don't understand qualifying Elie at all. Either offer him an AHL contract or nothing.

WIth that said, it certainly looks like they're going to bring a bunch of these mediocre-to-poopty guys to training camp to compete with the Olofssons, Smiths and Thompsons of the organization. My hope is that Krueger knows better than to play Sobotka 13 minutes a night.

If the plan is to have those guys play meaningful minutes in a checking role, then the whole roster construction is pretty (frank)ed, frankly. They should play under 10 on the bottom line. If that's the plan, then it makes me question what Botterill has done for the past 2 years

Girgs and Larsson you may not WANT here, but we have little to nothing to replace them with.

Ellie is the only person that I see a valid female dog about and it's 1 contract. Sobotka and Wilson were under contract already. Pommer on a 1 year deal isn't a sky is falling situation...
