I think we're overestimating his impact 100 fold. A 75 pt player doesn't get us to the playoffs last year. We'd still be bottom third in goals for, still have one of the worst defenses in the league and two backup goalies trying to play starter.

Could it happen? Yes. You could also give Lafen to Toronto next off season...not a risk I'm willing to take for any reason. Until they make the playoffs, our own 1st rounders should be kept until TDL to establish value or not traded at all preferably.

the team added skinner and montour, and was no better in the last 50 games with dahlin, as they were the season before they got dahlin
