Marchessault? - Takemedrunkimhome
Rumor is he's been added to the list of guys available to clear up cap space. Could add another midget in Montreal, never enough of those. |

Hearing out of Montreal that the Canadiens will be meeting with Matt Duchene this week prior to July 1st.
No way they offer him enough to get him to play in Montreal. And Bergevin would be stupid to throw the bank at him. |

I prefer the IncarceratedBob rumour of the Habs going for Leddy/Gostisbehere...and despite the name his track record is decent |

Maybe he wants to go back to Canada and play with his team Canada buddies Carey Price and Shea Weber?
I really wonder how much itll cost though. |

He's a gamer.
We saw it in the playoffs, we see it in the regular season.
Even at the world cup he played great, was one of Team Canada's best. |

Right shot, scoring forward, from Quebec, playoff/big game performer, term left on a fair priced contract...checks a lot of boxes
If he was 6'2" and 220 lbs he'd be the prototype of what MB needs for the forwards |

He's a bit cocky for the Montreal media/crowd.
We don't like frenchies that know they are good, they have to be 3rd line players who grind every shift. |

In all honesty it doesn't bother me either especially having seen his positive post season results...but I think we all know MB wants some more size.
Two years from now they'd have Gallagher, Drouin, Caufield and Marchessault as wingers in the top 6...that's...small...despite how Gallagher plays |

And if we go deeper....Byron, Shaw, Weal...eventually Suzuki.
Again I'm not worried about the size really...but I'm confident MB is |

It would be nice to have big, skilled forwards moving up.
But I'd rather us being skilled and small than big and awful.
Remember in 2013? Bergevin decided he'd make the team bigger and tougher? That's how we picked McCarron, traded for Shaw etc..
Set the whole team back a few years imo.
I hope he doesn't do the same mistake. |

To be fair, that was all management hating them, not the fans or the media.
So his examples were actually bang on. |
