I predicted 1-2 OS’s would happen & nobody agreed with me. Granted they are more likely to be right lol

As RFA’s sign eg Kapanen Johnsson my prediction looks worse & worse. VGK signing Karlsson makes less overage they can use on RFA’s til contracts moved out. They can put Clarkson on LTIR to get more space. Still a chance an OS goes out on a VGK player.

Maybe nobody saw the prediction because you were bulk posting in an old thread 😂

Couple of Development Camp notes:

- WhiteLie

Just listening the chat with Ryan Johnson. Says scouts team were especially high on Hoglander. Way he talks about Utica how more depth and experience, growth from last seasons kids.

Haven't heard anything sbout the later round picks.

I ranked Hoglander (17) ahead of Podkolzin (19). So pumped we got him at 40.

He will be exactly the kind of winger Bo needs

What JTM brings to the table gets him a Top 6 F spot. Nobody else has his set off skills to compete against him. JV is the closest & far from figuring it out so far. Gads is a longshot to be a bottom 6.

Thanks Carol great stuff!

I would rather pay Ben Hutton $4m for one year than commit 7 years to either Gardiner or Myers. Just because there are very few D men available doesn’t mean you have to over pay for whatever is available.

I don’t buy the “if they miss the playoffs Benning is fired” narrative. But you know what I do believe. If he convinces the owner that going all in and trading away 1st round picks, and signing guys to 7 year $50m contracts will guarantee them the playoffs, and they miss, then yes, fired out of a cannon into the sun.

- 1970vintage

7yrs alone for either is bad enough neither is more than 5/6m for me to get on board.

Jack Hughes tells Benning to trade for him

Byram basically begging the Canucks to draft him by saying Burrows is his fav player

Myers flies to Vancouver first

Panarin posts on IG about how beautiful Vancouver is

Lucic basically publicly begging the Canucks to trade for him

Pod looked super excited to get drafted here

Barrie already rumoured to sign here next summer

Leipsic (LA), Rieder (EDM), Frk (DET), Shinkaruk (MTL) and Soshnikov (STL) a few notable names (in that they were once Canucks property or rumoured to have interest in) that didnt recieve qualifying offers today

Canucks were going to trade down if Podkolzin wasn't there. Meaning they would have traded down with Zegras was still there. Canucks rankings and yours all almost completely backwards
