Its pretty shocking and Zucker and his GF have been displeased with it publicly.

I mean sports is all down to opinions and I guess some GMs are going to value other players more than others.

Actually it was dubas that said last summer that he was in no rush to sign either of the 3 stars and marners agent had said he would talk contract up until the season started and not at all during the season.

I'm proposing that every morning we have a Mike in Buffalo Yoga/Meditation session around 8am followed by a 9am posting of our agreed statement of fact. Every morning we cut and paste the post that sets out the agreed facts about various topics (for example everything we know to be true about the Marner story). We then enter a blood pact wherein we all agree not to contradict the agreed statement of fact. Whenever some poster asserts something contrary to the agreed statement of facts we kill him/her.

For sure...but Zucker at 5.5 for another 5 years is sweet especially when Rielly/Andersen are up.

I also think Matthews could use a good LW to play with and Zucker would be it.

Kadri at 3C is a luxury...I also don't like him. A very good hockey player but a poopty individual.

No barrage, i just feel that it will be difficult to find a replacement to our only really physical player and agitator who can score 30 goals and fit in easily in the 2nd line when matthews gets injured for 4.5 or under

Most of the non-cap urgent trades will happen on/after July 1. Teams that "miss out" (I use that term loosely) on the UFA's will then circle back to possible trades for Zaitsev.

Here's hoping Myers and Gardiner sign yuuuuge deals and teams look at Zaitsev a little differently.

They're better off keeping Kadri.

Between Matthews, Tavares, Marner and Nylander, they're fine in the top six as the remaining wingers can benefit from playing with great linemates.

Much more important to have a strong 3rd line center than another LW when they just signed Johnsson.

Zucker drew the most penalties in the league last year by a large margin. He is a hard skilled forchecker and would be the 2nd fastest on the team.He is also responsible min his own end where the Leafs struggle. I think he represents what the Leafs want to be.

To me that's what an agitator does best....except Kadri crosses the line way too much.

I think both camps weren't open to discussing the numbers that were being presented.

Which makes sense given the state they are at now.
