You get what you pay for. Hartman could be a decent 3rd-liner, heart and soul player, a guy who could grow with the team.

When you take into account the 5 RFA, there wasn't plenty of cap space as many are lead to believe.

I’m good if they didn’t want to allocate 2+ mil to Hartman this year. Picked up him up cheap in the Simmonds trade. Seems like Pitlick could be a solid 4C for us this year.

Are you assuming the addition of Subban and Trouba is guaranteed to having a greater impact on those teams defense over another yr of experience for Provy, Sanheim, and Myers. We ll see how the season plays out.
