Faulk, De Haan in trade talks
Pavelski, Gustav Nyquist, Anders Lee in FA

Said Hawks want back in playoffs and to compete. They wanna get two of the players listed.

- frafra

If we get De Haan it’s probably going to cost us Saad. That would free cap space to get Pavelski

I agree that the agents used McDavids contract as a comparison. And those max deals prior to winning are why those teams will continue to search for championships

So does ADB and Strome want that as well...or do they want a Cup?

If they want the money the Hawks should let them shop for contracts as RFA's and maybe take the compensation

I dont think the Hawks should go more than -
Strome- 3yrs 12-14mil max
ADB -3yrs 16-18mil max

They can then cash in IF they take the team to the next level/back to playoffs and win a round or 2. That will coincide with 88/19/2 contracts ending and Strome/ADB can cash in if they earned it at that point

- PatShart

Agree.

Sign them to 3 year bridge deals (4-5M for Strome, 6-7M for ADB), and then swap salaries with 19 and 88 when their contracts expire.

Could be ,I think Dach is a great catch for the HAWKS .Had the HAWKS gone that route drafting Podkolzin or say Soderstrom Boldy Kinght Caufield and dumping Seebs contract fans would be dancing in the streets .

I don't believe the report either because Seabrook would have had to waive his no trade/no move rights. And I doubt he will do that.

I must be missing something here. The Canes seem to have cap space. So why do they want to deal either one of those D-Men? Certainly not for AA. They give up the better player and cap trade off is minimal. Is it a cap related move or are they trying to get better?

In addition to Artemi Panarin, sounds like the Blackhawks are also planning on meeting/speaking with Anders Lee.

Didn’t Bowman say that he would be more incline to make trades than sign ufa.

Signing Perlini, Q, others, Cat and Strome contracts next year, makes no sense signing a free agent long term especially with the reduced increase of the cap. I'd like Lee for the right price but thats not going to happen

Saad or AA would already be gone.

Hopefully we'll be able to help cap crunched teams like Vegas otherwise pass on day 1 of the FA market

Get better, trade from a position of strength (defense) for more help up front. They also need a couple of goaltenders.

The Canes want forward help up front, specifically they'd like power forward types. They have an abundance of defensive help so they're willing to move one of their current rostered d-men, but they'd prefer it to be Faulk as they have more RD ready than LD.

I would love to see Panarin back but the question comes in as how that would work.

I've read a couple articles that say that they are suffering a bit of a numbers game on their backend, as they apparently have a few prospects that are ready to come up.

To answer my own question, after some thought: trading Saad and AA would free the cap space needed.

He did but, if he didn't at least speak to UFAs he was interested in we'd complain he failed to do his due diligence if the trades don't materialize.

Marcus Johansson or Micheal Ferland anybody?

I think Johansson would be a good add and not to expensive

- gazza53

Ferland is what hawks need ? Is can he stay healthy.

Wonder what trade would look like?

In this podcast, @reporterchris predicts Joe Pavelski will end up in Chicago (29:18), Anders Lee will end up in Minnesota & that Artemi Panarin could end up in Colorado! I wrote about the Hawks and Pavelski this morning for @670TheScore. 670thescore.radio.com/zawaski-blackh…

If they do that, they have to be confident in Dach stepping in and playing center next season. Imagine fitting in Panarin and signing Pavelski to a one year deal.

According to LeBrun, the only teams Pavelski currently is schedule to speak to are Dallas and Tampa. Could change obvs but still. The issue with San Jose is term, not amount.

Panarin ending up in Colorado would be shocking considering his supposed main priority was finding a city with a large Russian population and Denver is at like 1% Russian.
