All good answers.

I don't like either but I guess If I have too i'd go Zaitsev because he is cheaper.

Anyways going through prospects.

Podkolzin is signed in KHL for 2 season.
Hoglander says he's signed till 20/21 as well.
Focht back to Calgary Hitmen for one more year.
Costmar is on a junior contract still. Wonder if he will go into the CHL import draft.
Keppen back to Flint
McDonaugh to Northeastern
Malone to Cornell. A ppg first year draft eligible player out of the USHL might be quite the steal. That's better stats than Gaudette and Madden if only stats mattered for projecting players
Plasek says still on a junior contract but say's he's playing for Brno in the Czech league.
Silovs is under contract till 20/21 with a Lativian team.

I’m still not ruling out Panarin, Jim will make a sizeable offer

Helps to set the parameters.

TJ could come here and not mesh well with Green or the system, could end up being a 13 goal 3rd line player.

Canucks could experience the same basic injury issues they have faced the past bazillion years.

Markstrom could revert back to his former self.

There are a lot of things that could happen that could keep them from making the playoffs this season and next. Will they all happen? Probably not, but you are saying the trade was a “win” at least compared to what NJ surrendered, but we don’t have all the facts yet, so I’m asking what does worst case look like under the pick value model.

JT could be a 30g 70pt player also.
PK could be a down sliding overpaid 9m D

Why not see how a player helps us when we have nothing better & he gets prime linemates & TOI.

Didn’t realize Hoglander was under contract for 2 more years, but he may have an out clause. It’s common for a lot of Swedish prospects to have one.

Canucks AHL development has been questionable so it may be a blessing in disguise for Pod/Hog

Benn sucks. He’ll become a whipping boy if we sign him.

From a positive perspective we are moving forward not backwards, we have plenty of good young players and prospects, it is time to build around them with quality nhlers and rid of the so called trash and there is prices to pay. That pick wont be relevant for 5 years probably which by that time we should be competing for a cup or could possibly have 1 by then.

DCT & yourself look at the big picture 👍

Us here harping on what a 1st is possibly gonna be doesn’t matter if we don’t keep improving. JT is definitely needed & a piece to help us even more so. The cost to get him is for another day once we see how it works out.

I think he is who he is at this point. 50+ at best. Sound pretty blah, but that's actually an improvement for us.

NHL has a buyout agreement with all countries except for Russia.

The best Canucks prospects have been passing by Utica. Need those mid range prospects that are going to spend time there and develop. Lind, Gadjovich, Jasek a good start last season. They should get bigger roles this season. I don't think any prospects are going to join them that were drafted though.

Would be nice to see Lind play with someone like Kero as his centre instead Cam Darcy or Brendan Woods.

I haven't followed them as closely the past year but I have a feeling that hiring Cull was a mistake. When I did watch then, they didn't seem as organized or well structured as when they were under Green's watch. And it seems like there's a communication issue between the coach and some of his players.

I remember reading a few articles on how Green takes time to talk to players one on one, especially when they're in the doghouse.

I don’t think there’s a chance in hell Benn signs a 1 year deal, which is the only way I’d want him on the team. Some team will offer him 3 years yuck

Both awful. I’m on team acquire C.Miller - or if we have to overpay someone, give me Barrie.

At this point you’re right, if simply because it means our 1st isn’t a lottery pick.

I don't think it matters . It is more of a long running punch line than an actual wish list.

Here is what will happen, if miller doesn't score in the first 10 games the fans/hb will turn on him like louie and we will never hear the end of it. I have to go to work tomorrow and listen to whiners there to, I cant get away from it
- Bettmanhatesus

Last year ASL asked here what period EP would score in. I said his 1st shot i WON 😂

Onto JT when will he score his 1st?

We’re one of a few teams who can save them from 2yrs of Stastny @ $6.5 which they kind of have to consider at this point. Allows us to compete now, & have major $ off the books when Petey and Hughes get their fortunes. Stastny does have a modified NTC so he might not be down... But I’d at least explore it.
