Girardi not coming back.

Stralman walks for the Panthers. Too much term and money, hate to see him go, but he's no longer worth that.

Luke Schenn brought in on a cheap contract to replace Stralman. Not sure how I feel about this one. Not that familiar with Schenn,

Syracuse goalie signed (forget name), McElhinney rumored to be close to signing. I like him a little better than Domingue.

Point needs to get signed next, and then see what's leftover, if any,,.,

Completley missed the Luke Schenn news with all the other free agency signings. I guess I'm fine with him as a 6th/7th defensman. I wonder what Point gets now after the Aho offer sheet.

I don't think the Aho offer impacts the Point negotiations much. Florida has a massive tax advantage over Montreal. Giving Point $8.5m per in Florida would be about the same as giving him $10m in Montreal.

Rumors say Montreal considered an offer sheet on Point, but went after Aho because he fell under threshhold of 4 first-round picks as compensation and a better likelihood they could get Carolina to let him walk or work a trade.
