Also, he'll be 29 at the end of his first UFA season. How much and for how long would the contract need to be? His underlying numbers may be great, but he'll also need to produce goals and shoot a high percentage too as that has been a downward trend.

He'll be 28 at the start of it no? if you gave him 6 years, takes him to 33. I suspect his shooting percentage won't be as low as it was this year with the kings. He'll probably hover around 8/8.5% between now and age 33.

The great thing about Toffoli is even when he's not scoring he's driving possession and creating chances allowing others to capitalize. He's also above average to great defensively. Helps mitigate the risk if his totals trend downward. Sort of the anti Skinner.

In all seriousness, I've been reading this Buffalo therapy session for years and needed to join. I can't believe the craziness from these posts about the draft. Are we really going to argue about 18 year old kids when we might have a owner (Kim) that has put handcuffs on Botts ( no not like that..) My fear is that the fan in Terry is being trumped by the inexperienced fiscal wannabe of Kim..

This year has been a complete snooze fest. Looks like the only dominoes falling tonight will be in my belly. Im hearing from sources it will be green peppers and onions with some cheesy bread for some cash.

I was told that Nashville wasn't interested in that but countered with an offer with them retaining $3 million. Botts thought it was too high.

Yeah I understand that But man it just hurts that the Sabres didn’t really get better at the draft.

Essentially the preds took the best offer and moved on.
