I never thought Id actually get to the point where I have lost interest in the Sabres. When Rhino and Eichel got here, I had so much hope. Its been completely squashed. I literally couldn't care less now. I am 50 years old, great career and a ton of entertainment money available, the LAST THING I would ever do is go to a game. If you figure myself and 3 of my friends going, youre looking at a pretty chunk of change from us between beers, food, tickets etc. Between the product of the ice and the bullpoop of blasting music, 5 year olds every break on the jumbotron and killing any sort of "vibe" the crowd gets....we decided we would rather go to the casino and try to win some cash. I FULLY BLAME Kim Pegula. SHE has ruined this franchise. Ill bet my life the old man runs the real business and he keeps the bored the trophy wife out of his way by letting her play with her two toys.
Im sure enticing 25-30 year old millionaires to live in Buffalo instead of Chicago, NYC, Tampa, Nashville, LA, or Vegas, isn't easy....BUT...I have no doubt SHE has no clue what shes doing and she gets all my blame.
From a life long fan that would have gladly spent a fortune to be entertained...thanks for the memories Mr Knox. we haven't been close since you left.

A lot of people on here are constantly bagging on Botterill for the O’Reilly trade. They are saying he should have gotten more. If I’m not mistaken didn’t O’Reilly say that he lost the love of playing hockey or something to that affect and wanted to be traded out of Buffalo? Didn’t that handcuff Botterill? Did he even get any better offers? He sure as hell couldn't keep O’Reilly in that locker room after he said he lost his passion. So basically Botterill had no other choice. O’Reilly should have made that statement in private and Botterill could have possibly gotten more. It’s just tiresome reading all the Ryan O’Reilly posts. It’s over move on let it go. |

The one thing about McCoy I do like is the way he treats Allen. He really seems to want to help him. |

Taking Ek's words with a grain of salt, I'm not interested in Anders Lee.
Hopefully Botts is working with Vegas, San Jose, and contacting the likes of Dzingel, Nyquist, Perry, Pavelski, or whomever else he sees as a fit here.
I know there is still a lot of time before anything will really happen, but I am ready for the dominoes. - thatsapickle
My guess is that whoever is coming in isn't even on our radar yet. I think the names that we've collectively been tossing around will be either too expensive or too old. |

If he was told to trade him by midnight that day (which seems likely) then he is most likely absolved. If not the trade is not defensible. |

Darcy Regier said Galisano DIRECTLY told him..."do what you want regarding trades but under no circumstances are we to go into the red." He prevented Darcy from truly taking a shot at the cup, when we had the best player in the world, for financial reasons.
"weren't too bad"...because of ONE player...ONE. take him out of the equation and theyre 12th place...again. |

Should have dumped him last year but we have to see what he has left. |

You're talking about a guy that is barely in the league and has struggled in the minors. Now he is a machine? - Slump Buster
What guhle is good at is making break out passes / getting the puck out of the zone.
So yes. A break out machine. |

I don’t blame McCoy at all for his numbers last year. Our o line was beyond pathetic. |

I must have missed that when he was playing second pair in Rochester. Someone should have let them known - they could surely have used such a machine in the first pair. |

It was, but he also looked bad. It's pretty bad when Chris Ivory looks better than you do.

Until the team starts winning (I'll take a first round sweep at this point), everyone is to blame. |

She's more of a problem then some think, has nothing to do with blaming it all on her. They both have issues, this team has no continuity and can't due to all the changes. This all should have been worked out by now, they have had plenty of time. |

I support this view 100%.
What we don't know is what Botts told the Pegula's as far as timeline to get this in a decent place. I feel this upcoming season is another 75-85 pts, unless Botts hits it out of the park, and Ralphie-boy is the 2nd coming.
So if he told them 5 years, with first order of business to correct the Cap before bringing in guys who can lug the heavy mail, then no surprise they are where they are...right on schedule.
But hey, from Corey Pronman if The Athletic today regarding 2010 draft...
The top tier for me at the moment is five players deep, with projected top pick Alexis Lafreniere being a small step above the field. I’m not going to describe this draft as deep or thin, because we are way too early in the process to get into that. These rankings will change a lot over the next year.
So....we tank again

I'm hopeful that Boterill and Krueger can ease whatever involvement that they have. I know that you want to see a return on investment, but they need to let go a little bit. I'm assuming that they have their hands out of the Bills cookie jar more than in years past, so it's time to do the same with the hockey team. |

If we aren't in contention next year, I'll drive to the arena and picket for everyone's job. I understand a few years of garbage. It happens to every team. I'm tired of my entire existence being defined by garbage.
I was able to enjoy 99 and 05-07, but outside of those runs it's been a colossal disappointment. I can also remember the Bickering Bills, and 3 out of 4 Super Bowls, but something has to give on both fronts.
I'll be 34 and have nothing to show for it from a sports fan standpoint. I'm ready for the other shoe to drop in a good way. I'm tired of defending myself as a Buffalo sports fan. |

Not much we can as fans, just hope to see something change, Botterill seems patient, that can be bad and or good.

Kruger may be what we have needed but, this roster is still bad and we have wasted Eichel for 4 years now. Not that it's a huge deal now but it will be soon. |
