Would you have traded nylander and 31 for another top 4 d? I also would (and nylander is worth more than guhle).

You can say that about almost every player traded. Players are traded because teams don't think the guy is worth the money he gets or will command.

My point in its entirety is that you don't really need to trade valuable assets for guys like Montour. There a cost effective options for that role every off season.
