Ya we do, another pretty solid draft by Timmins and co. Gonna be some epic games between the Habs and Leafs in the forthcoming future once the likes of Suzuki, Poehling, Brook, Fleury, Ylonen, Romanov, Caufield, Oloffson, Evans make the NHL jump

They lost a top 6 forward.

If Callahan didn't have his career ended they'd be singing a different tune.

isnt it a steal when the player actually becomes a star on the nhl? hard to steal from people who chose not to take said item and instead left it on the shelf for someone else to take.

Sure, but let's be real if Caufield's 2-3 inches taller he's a lottery pick. There's no denying his elite scoring ability and high hockey IQ. Teams regretted passing on Debrincat and I won't be surprised when teams regret passing on the Short King. You are gonna hate this kid more than you hate Domi and Gally

They had no choice, had to be done.....even though some think the marleau deal was prearranged to get out of.

I agree, had to be done, here's a 20 year history of the 25th picks in the NHL from 1993 to 2013. Decent sample size - lots of lousy players!

2011 Stuart Percy Toronto Maple Leafs
2010 Quinton Howden Florida Panthers
2009 Jordan Caron Boston Bruins
2008 Greg Nemisz Calgary Flames
2007 Patrick White Vancouver Canucks
2006 Patrik Berglund St. Louis Blues
2005 Andrew Cogliano Edmonton Oilers
2004 Rob Schremp Edmonton Oilers

At least check the stats before typing. Come on man you are better than this.

Yeah the Leafs should of just traded Kadri, a great contract away. That would of been so much better.

B list in your mind is wishful thinking being a Queefs fan. I wouldn't trade Habs prospect pool for yours. The only prospect you have is Bracco. Sandin could be a bottom pairing dman and that other kid that looks like Quasimoto is a bust. Lillybust

The goal is not to be mediocre for as long as possible.

The goal is to win a Stanley cup and these next few years here are their best chances.

Leaf fans need to change their mindset. They aren't some poop team that is desperate for talent anymore.

Very true, at best (for the Canes) It's 16 if the Leafs scrape into the playoffs - do you think that's likely? They probably won't win the President's cup, but do you think a top 5 realistic?
