And now that Chia is on his staff, nothing can stop them from accomplishing the best trades in NHL history. |

From Google translate:
“Denezhkin make third-good scoring in Norilsk second-group intramural league, playing hardly wing and substitute referee. Denezhkin carry cow water fourteen forevers and break proper virgins in all matches.”

He and Perry would be the kind of guys that teams would be lucky to get on a one year deal for low dollars. They can be guys who are leaders eat up some 3rd line minutes and put up an OK amount of points. Unfortunately, that won't happen because GMs catch a virus that makes them temporarily retarded on UFA day and Perry and Simmonds will get multi-year deals for too much money. |

I'd give Perry a try at a one year deal for not too much. Maybe he can replicate Maroon's success while being a Grade-A female genitalia. Would gratifying to throw some more female genitaliaery back at the Ducks. |

I'd give Simmonds a shot on a one year deal as well, of course I'm saying this from a Devils perspective and they have plenty of space and it's unlikely they make any more big splashes this offseason other than signing Hall to an extension that would kick in after next season. |

I like Wood a lot. Unfortunately I just don't see where he would fit outside of the 4th line for the Devils, same with Zacha at center. We are so thin on the right side though, it makes sense, just wish we saw a little bit more out of Pulju at the NHL level. That trade could blow up in NJs face if Wood flourished on RNHs left side. |

I don't think this thread is freaking out about the Broberg pick too much but- in case you are- keep in mind that one of Broberg's noted talents involves defending off the rush and pinching opposing players out of the play as they enter the zone (ala Larsson). Even if his offensive game doesn't manifest (slightly better numbers than H Lindholm), he still has the toolkit to be a Lindholm or Larsson. I believe elite, true-defensive guys have more value than the market might fool us into thinking. |

My first reaction to the pick was frustrating. Rather have seen us pick-up Zegras.
Looking at it now and based on Holland's game-plan for Broberg, I think it may serve us well later on.
Offensively, we need a proven commodity now (not to mention if we go by what he said in his press conference) and by selecting a defender over a forward, I wouldn't be surprised if Holland goes out and makes an acquisition for a top 6 winger. |
