I will willing to bet that Rafferty or Woo will play RHD before Myers does.

I know you’re high on Raffetty but I can’t see Jik being comfortable with 2 rookie dmen in his top 6 heading into a season where FA is expecting playoffs

I havnt heard anyone saying its a bad deal, only here I hear it. we didn't fleece tampa is the issue here.
- Bettmanhatesus

Rintoul and Shah did not like it this morning on 650, not that I need them to validate my frothing rage.

I am trying to justify by thinking this was just a part of a larger trade to get Barrie and somehow it fell through or we are waiting for it to happen yet. I am trying to be positive but don't like it.

Things could change and he could get top minutes and thrive. He is good player I could see him getting 65 point potentially.

Has Benning commented on Miller yet? Usually once the GM talks about the new player that means that he’s sticking around.

How do you know this?
Trading away 1st round picks when you are currently not a playoff team is so f*cking dumb.

- Marwood

Like I said. If don’t make the playoffs two years from now you need to trade Elias and Brock and start from scratch.

I’m the only person in Vancouver that likes it lol

I’m used to being alone

- CanuckDon

I dont mind it, i really like Miller. He overpaid, but this is a suuuuuper useful player. Both special teams. Center, both wings. durable, which we have lacked.

Tampa gave up a 1st to acquire him. Though it was part of a much larger deal and it was to a great team looking to make long playoff run. Not to a team that isn't playoff ready.

Running full speed into brick walls?

I think miller will be very good, he isn't old, plays a heavy game. We didn't get an ahler for picks did we. That 1st could be in the 20s and wont be relevant for 5 years if at all.

TB fans are pretty happy with the deal. A lot of neutral fans are agreeing that Tampa got a nice return considering that they were in cap hell

The only people who I think are overreacting are the ones who are stuck on “13 goals” and think he’s a 3rd liner or another Sven

The consensus of “Miller is a good player but the Canucks overpaid considering both teams’ situations” is a fair one

Don't forget press box. He's so versatile that he's even useful as a healthy scratch.
I love giving out 1st round picks to help teams get out from cap hell and sign younger, better players.

I don't hate the player, I hate the price.

I think they will sign Gardiner , and they still have Stecher and Tanev signed this year.

Woo should be ready in the next two years and Barrie is a free agent next year. You also have Tryamkin rumored to be coming back so I just don't see a need to go get Myers and they can't fit both in under the cap anyways.

You know he did and yes I am grasping. I want to like this deal but I cannot. If he can get a Barrie without giving up the farm that would go a long way. I have no interest in Myers or Gardiner.

Maybe. Or perhaps it could have been another Brock Boeser. The anger has nothing to do with who they got. It's what they paid and the circumstances involved. Gudbranson 2.0

What is with all this Juggling and unicycles with the Swedes? Is their back up plan if they don't make the NHL they will join the circus?
