That has never been confirmed. That was pure speculation from the former blogger that became fact. Just saying. - Elbows15

LOL. I wish Dylan Cease was ready, but hes been mediocre in AAA of late.
Next year looking good w/ Rodon, Kopech and Cease all probably ready to roll, though I don't think we see Rodon or Kopech until middle part of year. |

My pet peeve. Superstar used to be the title given to the best of the best until the media started calling 3 and 4 players a team superstars. So the new term "generational talent" was used in place of superstar. And of course now anyone who is very good is a generational talent.
To me generational talent is what it sounds like, best of his generation. Crosby isn't a generational talent because it can be argued that Ovie, Toews or Kane were at points in Crosby's career the better player. So that also means Ovecnkin, Toews or Kane are also not generational talents. They are all stars, perhaps now superstars but not the best of their generation.
Without going back earlier than the 1950s I'd say the only generational talents in the NHL were Gordie Howe, Maurice Richard, Bobby Orr, Wayne Gretzky and Mario Lemieux. Lindros was close and may have been had he learned to play with his head up and a case can be made for Lidstrom. - paulr
I would give serious thought to Jean Beliveau for sure, maybe Bobby Hull, Dominik Hasek, Lidstrom.
And there are too many guys in the HOF too. They need to create an elite section in that building and all the rest can go into the basement. |

I thought of Hull but he had the misfortune of playing as Howe was winding down and Orr entered the league. |

What are our options? We got 3 guys on IR and our best pitching prospect in AAA has been terrible over his last few starts. |

Dunno. I don't think Dallas fits the model. I think the Sox don't consider this year a "compete year" even though they've kinda exceeded expectations. |

I see this team seriously competing in a year or two. Way too much talent not to. I just don't think Renteria is the coach to lead this team. |

I am thinking they bring Joe Giradi off the TV set to take them to the next level. But you are right, the talent is there.
It was really a gut punch to see THREE of our brightest young arms (Dane, Kopy, Rodon) go under the TJS knife. Just not fair.
Luis Robert is tearing AA apart and will likely be in Charlotte at some point this year. Thats another mega-talented kid on the rise. Madrigal is going to be special. This team is going to be VERY GOOD next year....in 2-3 years we're gonna compete for a pennant.
I STILL don't like first base, however, this Vaughn kid they drafted this year is a 1B, so who knows. I have lobbied to deal Nova + to Colorado for Ryan McMahon or to the Mets for Dom Smith. |

Huh? Try NINE earned runs in his last two starts.
Don't get me wrong, the kid is gonna be great. But he has no business pitching on the Southside right now. |

Vaughan is on the fast track. Madrigal is tearing up AA. Sheesh. Nova in Colorado could get someone killed in the bleachers. |

LOL. Shhhhh. Don't tell them. I know it's a pipe dream to turn Nova into Ryan McMahon.
Ditto on Vaugan and Nicky. Madrigal will likely debut in Chicago as early as next year. The kid is flat out one of the best hitters on the planet. Not much power, but the kid knows what to do in the batters box. |

Depends on what the return is, if it’s equal or slightly better value then you’d be silly not to consider it. |
