Any chance the Hawk's don't resign Kampf and John Quenneville replaces him on the fourth line?
- SoftServe

Good way for Stan to create friction with his head coach. JC sees Kampf as his utility knife.

Anything is possible but I'd say that's unlikely. JC likes him some Kampf.

Kirby Dach picks Bowen Byram’s pocket and finds twine 👀🔥

Wow, BB just tossed the puck into a dangerous area, in order to avoid getting hit. Which CHICAGO defender made that his signature move last season?

I don't think you can count on Quenneville to do anything - let alone pencil him into the starting lineup. Hopefully the new beginning is beneficial for him to get his career on track but I gotta think that will be in Rockford.

How so? Seems like only Chicago does. The others never had to make that choice.

I still think he is what he is. I get your point but how many times do you have to be sat to get the point?

Further, its a pretty simple fix for him. His effort is inconsistent. Mistakes happen on every play but his are more from just plain not skating. IMO.

- Elbows15

He is only 23 and so he could still find it as he did for a time last year. Worth a minimum investment. Not sure how to get his head right but I would take the risk for 1 more year.

It didn't look like Byram did anything with the puck. It looked like Dach's stick bumped it and it deflected out into the slot where Dach's momentum was carrying him that way so he was first to the puck. Pretty nice shot - quick and accurate and the goalie was like ... whaaaat.

Why wasn't Zegras drafted higher than? He was passed by several teams.

No. His natural side is the right. He is a righty and that is where he has played most of his career.
- Elbows15

He played on the right side in Portland when I saw him and did well. Agree, leave him on the right, think he is going to make another jump this year if he stays there and can focus on improving. After that he probably could shift between L-R if needed.

Why can Saad exhibit some of he same tendencies and be allowed to play every nite? Certainly, he is an above average defender. But if floating is the focus, it is high time someone address HIM! He was a complete bystander the first half of the season at 6M per. Q blew a gasket once and sat him for one measly game. A little consistency would be a welcome relief.

Give me a break. There is virtually no major difference in projection between 3 and 9. Even that Zegres was almost NEVER projected to be 3.

You're just trolling. Arguing about prospects of two players drafted, neither of which are "generational talents". Both could be good, both could bust even though you seem to think you know it all.

Any chance the Hawk's let Kampf walk and have John Quenneville replace him on the fourth line?

Lazerus reported that the Hawks may let some of their RFAs, that could be interesting. Perlini and Quenneville will be signed.

Hopefully Stan signs Kampf and Sikura, the others can go. I would think there is some (albeit limited) trade value in Forsling.

- DarthKane

Hmmm... RFAs

Kampf
D. Sikura
Perlini
Forsling
Quenneville
Hillman
Forsberg
L. Johnson
Louis
Watson

Watson is probably out and I wonder if they have a spot for Forsberg. Louis had a good year at Rockford but didn't sniff a callup so maybe they don't think he is NHL caliber. Maybe L. Johnson goes too. Would keep the rest even if they are just for trades, or even if lost on waivers.

Thanks for the clarity. I'm almost positive that Foley was the person mentioning that on air in the first game, that's why I was confused.

STASNEY would be actually great and with the expansion draft it wouldn't hurt Chicago if they lost him it would be beneficial for Chicago with gaining salary back and opening up a spot for dach

- Taylorst1

Stasny only signed through the 20-21 season. Then he becomes a UFA. To be eligible for the draft a player must be signed for the 21-22 season.
