I would wager that Saad and Anisimov are gone by then. There's 10.5M in cap space. - boilermaker100

Everything I have read about Vlasic leads me to believe he could be a key player on the backend for the Hawks for a long-time. Seems to be the perfect complement to the 6' and under guys they've drafted who are offense first.
I wonder if StanBo and Co view Dach as exclusively a Center, or if they view him as a hybrid that might start off on the Left Wing playing with Kaner in camp?? I think Dach's puck skills and physical stature give him the 9 game tryout this fall. Either way, really love the work that StanBo has done since the Strome trade.
Dach-Toews-Kane
Cat-Strome-Saad
Caggiulla-AA-Kubalik
EDIT: could swap Caggiulla and Saad too as Drake has shown his effectiveness as a muck and grind guy playing with Top 6 talent last year.
That's a pretty solid Top 9 IMO
FUTURE D-Core:
Vlasic-Boquist
Maata-Joki
Keith- Murphy/Seabrook/Mitchell - EnzoD
I like everything except that 3rd line.
I’m hoping we spread out the firepower to create 3 legit scoring lines:
Saad-Toews-XXX
XXX-Dach-Kane
DeBrincat-Strome-XXX |

I liked Bowman much better when he was in cap jail and grovelling to dump bums like Bickel and Sharp. Those were the good times. |

Now that he is on the other end of the (can't think of the metaphor), he doesn't know what to do. Yet.

I agree , however with the salary cap only rising 2 million instead of 3.5 million it now limits Chicago's spending.
It sou d's like Chicago and Vegas are in trade talks and karlsson name was mentioned earlier, but now it's for other players ? Any thoughts whom Chic ago might be looking at |

LVGK are totally screwed. They need to move a ton of salary to get under the cap, and the longer they wait, the less they’ll get back in return.
Toronto isn’t in a much better position , especially if rumors of resigning Kapenen are also true.
Give SB credit where it is due, he navigated cap restraints fairly well comparatively. |

For Paul and I, Stanbo will never be any good until he rips the Maple Leafs off big time in a couple of trades.
And that cocky wiener Marc Bergevin is also entering the hated category needing a Stanbo trade rip off experience. |

Eakin
Miller
McNabb
Haula
Tuch
Are all probably on the block. There is literally no way LVGK can keep more than 2 of them.

from what i read, Vegas wants to move RD Colin Miller, signed for 3 more years at 3.875M and center Paul Stasny, signed for 2 more years at 6.5M. Moving both of them would free up a net of 8.5M assuming they are replaced by players on ELC's worth less that $1M a piece. They still probably have to move a piece and get a few million more in cap space since they have to sign Karlsson and round out their roster.
I would take one or the other. Dahlstom at only $850K or a Fortin/Highmore that can be buried in the minors are some possible names. Or, if they want a couple of picks maybe a 3rd or 4th in future years.
Edit - Miller would solidify the defense, and Stasny will give Dach a year to marinate in the WHL, then he can play LW for a year during Stasny's 2nd year (if not traded by then.)
Edit 2 - AA could be moved to replenish the picks traded. Stasny would cost a net 2M in cap space. |

Every trade, regardless of team, needs to be heavily in favor of Stan....ya know, he needs to win every trade...or so I've heard

Interesting. If Chicago does acquire another RHD who then becomes the odd man out ? Or does joker spend 1 more year in the minors in your opinion?
STASNEY would be actually give Chicago better depth down the middle to allow Kane and toews to be split up.

Vegas is not giving up Tuch. I believe Dach is going back to junior. I think it’s funny that Button criticism of Hawks for not taking Byrum, then compares Dach to Getzlaf. If Dach is Getzlaf we will all be happy. I was kinda hoping for Byrum but it’s not Dach’s fault no problem with him. |

Bowman says hawks are going to resign Perlini - Bhawks44
I’m interested to see Perlini after a full camp and more direction on what his role is and how he needs to play. He came to the Hawks in the middle of of an upheaval, and was inconsistent in his effort/performance. I’m cautiously optimistic he can still be of use on the roster. |

Stan did say he plans to give dach every opportunity to earn a spot on the team this year , but was also cautious to say that he might need a year in the minors also. I guess we shall see.
I hope Stan targets in free agency Anders Lee, kid is a stud and would be fantastic alongside toews. |

Vegas doesn't want to give up Tuch. That is for sure. It all depends on whether they can live with the returns for other players.
The guys they are looking to move are decent players but if it is me, I am giving them an offer that fits what I want to move. If it doesn't work, so be it. Let someone else help them.
None of the players are absolute MUST HAVES. |

Pass on Lee. I love him, but he plays a heavy game that will minimize his impact at his likely cap hit into his 30s.
