$81.5M cap.
Too bad for the Leafs, Knights, etc.
Time for Stan to take advantage. - TommyHawk
The fans in Vegas are clueless about their cap problems. The Hawks can really take advantage of their situation. Feels good to be on the other end of the this.

Eakins, McNabb, Tuch, Gusev, clarkson for AA, Forsling and a prospect or pick - gifman
Swap out McNabb for Miller. We need the RD more then LD. |

This is a good pick, how he fell to the 7th round is beyond me. - walleyeb1
Vlasic, Teply, and Saarela were all projected to go higher too.

Which probably means $83-84 the next season instead of $86.
Bad for the Hawks taking on salary this season and resigning AdB and Strome for the next.

Depends on who we take on. Eakins and Clarkson both UFA at the end of next year and that’s about 10 mil |

I would wager that Saad and Anisimov are gone by then. There's 10.5M in cap space.

I think it works in our favor. We can trade Saad and/or AA to free up space for the right deal. The right deals are out there. Several teams are screwed right now.

Vegas isn't trading tuch and not taking on AA contract. Eakin miller clarkson contract vegas's 1st next year for forsling prospect and 4th 2020 something like that but who knows what stan's plan is haven't heard much as far as rumors from tyler. |

Can still take on salary for one year if the other parts are worth it. Dinky and Strome are the only two RFA to worry about and Strome might just take a deal similar to Kapanen/Johnsson right now. |

I'm not sure either. Keep in mind they will have a full training camp under the new system. The forwards have to buy in to the team defense concept also.

Not really, tho. To replace Saad with a comparable player likely will cost the same. AA is more likely an in-house replacement.

Everything I have read about Vlasic leads me to believe he could be a key player on the backend for the Hawks for a long-time. Seems to be the perfect complement to the 6' and under guys they've drafted who are offense first.
I wonder if StanBo and Co view Dach as exclusively a Center, or if they view him as a hybrid that might start off on the Left Wing playing with Kaner in camp?? I think Dach's puck skills and physical stature give him the 9 game tryout this fall. Either way, really love the work that StanBo has done since the Strome trade.
Dach-Toews-Kane
Cat-Strome-Saad
Caggiulla-AA-Kubalik
EDIT: could swap Caggiulla and Saad too as Drake has shown his effectiveness as a muck and grind guy playing with Top 6 talent last year.
That's a pretty solid Top 9 IMO
FUTURE D-Core:
Vlasic-Boquist
Maata-Joki
Keith- Murphy/Seabrook/Mitchell |

Vegas needs cap space. They apparently are going to resign Karlsson and they need about 15 mil in space.
Eakin 3.85
Tuch 4.75
Miller 3.875
Gusev ELC
Clarkson 5.25
17.725 coming from Vegas
AA
Forsling
Prospect/ pick Nalimov or Forsberg
4.55 going back which they can flip like we had to do in the past, when we were in the same position.
That gives them the cap space they need. |

Not sure we have enough space to take on/sign all that new salary (clarkson, eakin, Taney, Miller, tuch). |

I knew I forgot someone. Figure we move Murphy in a separate deal or we trade Seabs to Florida. That’s hoping for a lot though.
Eakin and Clarkson are UFA next season so that opens up 10 mil. |
