Knew you must be happy with the Hawks drafting some non-smurfs so far.

I like the move. Anisimov a goner now?

They play VERY different games (Q and AA), as well as AA is much better player- so do not see him as replacing AA (at least I hope not- that would be a step back).

Quenneville another 1st round reclamation project. I sense a pattern. Good luck to Hayden - I liked the guy but just couldn't produce consistently.

How much center did he play? I thought he mostly played wing.

If true, seems to me to be a Rockford pick - if AAisnt gone, and Kampf is 4C....

I like this trade. Q is another center. Interesting. Still some untapped upside in Q.

Lots going on. Hayden moved for Quenneville looks like a solid move.

Hawks take Vlasic... I like it!

I love what StanBo has done since the Strome trade. John Quenneville is another former first rounder that just had over 1 PPG in the AHL last year. He can possibly provide some depth scoring.

Dach is a huge addition, figuratively and literally. Now 2nd rounder Alex Vlasic as the excellent skating giant Defense-first 6'6" 200+lb that shoots left.

Not sure what NJ sees in Hayden besides being able to throw a heavy hay-maker....

Same, he wasn't given a defined role, but wish him luck. Welcome aboard, Quenneville!

Quenneville will be in Rockford, at 23 years old and less than 40 NHL games, he and Versteeg will light it up for the Ice Hogs.

Day is starting out well. Keep it going Stan, call up TB or Vegas and steal some players like everyone has done to us.

There have been 3 "cap dump" trades so far - Marleau, Subban and Miller and the only one I'm kind of sorry Stan didn't get was Marleau for a 1-year cap commitment. Miller at $5.2M is a little much with the Cap coming down and Subban is way too much.

Hopefully Stan is able to do something with the cap space that is only available for 2019/20.

And I doubt Nash would have dealt Subban to the West, much less the Central.

Would be great if the Hogs were a bit more competitive. Bigtime lack of scoring. You would hope some of this newfound F depth will result in a little better results, as well as a logjam of D prospects that are fringe NHL'ers

I'm hoping it's Forsling and a bag of pucks for Eakin or McNabb
