I understand the desire to take the puck moving solid skating d guy that has a higher ceiling than everyone except Bouchard but it just is not a necessity for us and a lot of projections have him as the 4th or 5th D guy taken in the draft... if you are dead set on him why not trade down a few spots and pick up a second asset as well

In fairness on Broberg, he's not just solid skating; he's a pretty exceptional skater.

Exactly.....don’t draft him at 8th is my main point...if you want him then trade down and do it tho I would be disappointed that they didn’t take Tomasino in that scenario but still

I still think even if the Hawks take Turcotte the top 5 stay the same Hughes Kakko Byram Turcotte and Dach. From 6 on is when it gets interesting.

I think they would be stupid to pass on Byram but there is that “local boy” chatter and it’s not like Turcotte is a bad player either but it’s not worth passing Byram over
