I think he'll explore all options but i'm very much against him trading a 1st round pick without getting another one.
- golfingsince

With you on that & i believe JB saying trading away picks is a no go. Suicide.

It's much deeper and stronger from what I have read.

I have read that too in regards to next years draft so I would be weary about trading picks from that draft

Could be i’m not certain or up on what the eligible D will look like.

I’m intrigued by Byfield the most.

Ryan Biech and Cam will be posting their 2020 articles on Sunday, and from snippets that i have read, they are much much more excited about 2020 than this draft. Byfield is interesting, I agree. Trading an unprotected 2020 1st this year would be a mistake imo

What's that subscription worth? It seems they write good articles for all the major sports.

10 bucks I think. I think it's great personally.

Is it a weak draft next year?
- Bettmanhatesus

No it’s strong. I’m really high on Barrie

He said no 2019 picks. The Rumor is Tanev + virtanen + 2020 first (lottery protected) for Barrie. I (frank)ing love it! Assuming we get him signed
- CanuckDon

An even better draft next year and I think the Canucks will be picking between 10-12 next year unless the have some lottery luck .
I'm not down on trading away next season's draft picks to make the playoffs now. The stench of desperation is getting a little overwhelming. So, I f*cking hate it!

Barrie or Subban? Apparently I was onto something. Sportsnet is running with my rumour about PK.😂😂

I think so too, but a 27 year old Dman who constantly puts up 50-60 points a season isnt going to be had for tanev and virtanen alone.

He'll be 28 next month.

There's a number of high end talent from what I've read but prospects always look better a year out.

Knowing we need 2 top F’s & top RHD sooner than later...

RHD are costly & simply the hardest to acquire leaves LHD as the next option. That said Gardiner is my guy. Myers RHD doesn’t impress me at the cost/term & was a 3rd pair D on a deep team. The Jets need him more than what i think he’s worth.

Top 6 F’s is go the UFA route & save the assets. Q is who. Panarin obviously but after him is where i get nervous. So make him a huge offer & drive up the price if we lose out.

Once the draft passes & UFA market dries up the player movement will grind to a crawl or halt. OS’s will ensue. Therefore my prediction of big fireworks is coming starting on the draft floor then continuing as cap crunched teams get more & more nervous.

I expect the Canucks to gain momentum this season & next. The 2021 draft is when we might loosen up & see more picks coming & going.

Hes a very good dman regardless, I would have hesitations though about having half our D be 5'10 or under, and I also want nothing to do with trading a 1st in this draft or next.

$100/year still isn't bad. I get DAZN for the same price.
