Was it 2 or 3 months ago that Benning said "we're not trading anymore picks"?

RFA’s don’t have NTC’s.

That's what I sais, he has NO "trade clauses". It was in response to Donald suggesting he gave a list of teams. Which he can't do, because he is an RFA

He said no 2019 picks. The Rumor is Tanev + virtanen + 2020 first (lottery protected) for Barrie. I (frank)ing love it! Assuming we get him signed

I had a nice cannon with 4 types of indica, 4 Star General, Purple Kush, White Rhino & Platinum Blackberry. Even Neem can't piss me off right now.

For anyone subscribing to the Athletic, Harman Dayal has an excellent piece comparing draft records between 2014-2017.

Takes into consideration draft position among other things.

Bruins and TBL the most impressive by far with the preds, Jets and leafs, nucks and flyers doing above average.

I think so too, but a 27 year old Dman who constantly puts up 50-60 points a season isnt going to be had for tanev and virtanen alone.

I think Zadorov is the true target so Benning can reunite the twin towers.

So i just back read the 10-12 pages & found it very engaging 👍

What i pulled from it & think we should do is as follows:

Don’t trade JV he needs 1 more year to show his worthiness. Too soon.

No trading of 1sts but possibly trade down.

Barrie is a nice add but not at the price most would believe. 28 & only 1yr on his contract isn’t cost certainty so we will get outbid which is fine.

Tanev is being shopped i’m feeling sure of & is the 1st domino that will impact our draft if it happens.

The chance nothing happens & we draft then trade later or not leaves the UFA/RFA season & where JB will be busy.

Is it a weak draft next year?

What's that subscription worth? It seems they write good articles for all the major sports.

Burnaby Joe & his AV’s are trending very nicely. They need top 6 wingers. 4th & 16th picks are very nice & probably in play to help them now. Barrie is expendable & the piece best used for adding scoring scoring depth.

So do we give assets to get Barrie or just go after Gardiner & it’s only money?

I say Gardiner 6/6.5 maybe 7m.

I'm quite content with option neither.

I can live with that.

Do you think JB tries but no luck for a trade of a top 6 F &/or top 4 D & gets it done in the UFA season?

Could be i’m not certain or up on what the eligible D will look like.

I’m intrigued by Byfield the most.

I think he'll explore all options but i'm very much against him trading a 1st round pick without getting another one.
