This is Benning’s sixth draft, he’s never made an impactful trade of major significance. I’m not holding my breath.

Never say never. History is not the present & it’s a new day to see what goes down.

Quite simply, without the draft we wouldn't have players like Bo, Boeser, EP, QH to look forward to next season. Instead of looking at simply next season this is the prime time to add talent to your future club.
- golfingsince

Oh I agree, as I said, they’re going to add building blocks. But. I don’t see anything of immediate effect, that was my point. Personally I just can’t get excited about the draft picking tenth.

Anyone who says they were pumped picking Boeser (or Horvat for that matter) is lying because truthfully it wasn’t that exciting. Three years later when he proved his nhl worth, different story.

He's been around longer than books, but there is probably a painting on the wall in his cave.

I'm not around for the draft tomorrow, but in my best ASL tribute, I made BBQ pierogi pizza for me and the boy tonight. Big trades and draft luck here we come!

I think it's exciting because there's little consensus on who might be available at that pick.

As I said, each to their own. I’ll watch it to see how it plays out, but from a long time Canuck fan, it’s kinda blah.

There are several (9) states with no state income tax. Nevada (Vegas), Washington (Seattle), Texas (Dallas), Florida (Sunrise, Tampa) are the ones important to NHL fans. These places have plenty of other taxes though. It's not as simple as some make it out to be.

That’s correct, they don’t have state income tax.

“Nearly all states have an income tax, ranging from 1-13%. Alaska, Florida, Nevada, South Dakota, Texas, Washington, and Wyoming are the exceptions because they do not tax residents' incomes. Additionally, residents of Tennessee and New Hampshire are only taxed on income earned from dividends.”
