I think Caufield is legit but I think building down the middle is more important. I like Boldy because I think he is the best two way winger in the draft and several scouts have said they wouldn’t be surprised to see him as a selkie candidate down the line. The Sabres need more 200 foot players imo.

Agree with you. Any of the 4 you named are good with me.

Two minute penalty on an incorrect coach's challenge to review.

A lot of new rules.

Stripes better start studying as I believe all of these new rules in regards to faceoffs and line changes will trickle down to lower leagues.

Are u not high on Mitts?
Or don’t think Asplund &/or Davidsson will be any good?

- jdfitz77

I think Casey will be a very good 2C moving forward. Wouldn’t it be nice to roll Eichel-Mitts-Cozens/Zegras down the middle though ?

Salary cap estimated to be 81.5 - 82.

Lower than the projected 84.

Of course...
But who are they passing to?

I’m not saying we need to get a winger necessarily
But i do think we need to get the best “Goal
Scorer” available

I think that’s where we lack the most

Besides Skinner & Eichel,
I don’t think we have anyone else with 30goal potential

7th OA pick on a cost controlled contract in Eichel and Dahlin’s prime doesn’t seem too bad now does it ?

I think this is the plan, but we need a veteran 2C to hold down the fort for 2-3 years......and I dont know how many of those are out there.
Casey should have been learning the ropes as a 3C behind ROR.

No. This might be an attempt to reign in the ridiculous contracts that are being handed out.

May also be a hopeful attempt at avoiding a lock out, but I still see that happening.

Does it Matter. One of, or both the players will turn into nothing special. Im so sick of waiting on prospect. And they they suck. Youve been here a decade. How many Caseys have we been waiting on?

That’s where trades come into play, as well as hoping two of Nylander, Tage, Olofsson, Smith turn out. With superior playmakers even an average winger could pot 20+. We need elite hockey players whether or not they are playmakers or goal scorers.

Hence the reason we have sucked the last 20 years. Drafting breeds long term success. The Blues drafted Pietrangelo, Tarasenko, Schwartz, Parayko, Binnington, Dunn, Thomas. Bruins drafted 90% of their roster. Tampa, Toronto, Calgary, Winnipeg all draft well. The Penguins, Blackhawks, and Red Wings dynasties were built on strong drafting.

I think we'll see a lot better effort from Mitzy. This is the last year of his ELC after all. Players have a tendency of sudden improvement when that last year of a contract rolls around.

Most of them start at the lower pro level. The helmet rule for example.

It would be nice to know that more than one of the players in charge of our offense is a known commodity.
