So Gorton has been speaking too Kreider's agent. And he plans to do so more to see if talks evolve.

These next 24 hours could be huge on that. If the can't make any progress now would be the ideal time to look for a trade. Man i hope they work it out

Winnipeg is trying to deal Perreault in key as one means to help create some cap room to re-sign RFA's in Laine and Connor, among a number of other players they need to have locked up soon.

Tampa is also trying to shed cap immediately in order to retain Brayden Point, with word they are interested in dealing Miller, Callahan, and Johnson, as three of their options among others.

Recently appointed new Oilers GM in Ken Holland expressed that he would trade Puljujarvi, who demanded to be dealt, "only if he can find a deal that makes sense for the Oilers."
Sportsnet reported that Puljujarvi's agent, Markus Lehto, made it known that Puljujarvi told the Oilers he would otherwise play in Europe. If a worthy trade is not possible, Holland also stated he "has no problem with Puljujarvi playing in Europe," since the Oilers will still own his NHL rights.
However, Puljujarvi is restricted from signing with any team in Europe, should the Oilers sign him to a qualifying offer by Monday's deadline. Rumors have it that he will not sign that offer, since any player signed to an NHL contract is prohibited from signing with any European team.

I hope Gorton is very careful if looking to pursue Puljujarvi. Poor team or good team, his less than expected performance as an Oiler is not worth being desperate in trade value to acquire him, if at all.
