There is NO scenerio where Toronto does not match a 10.5 million offer sheet.
So, be prepared to lose 4 1sts if you are serious about trying to get Marner.

kapanen may be the better bet to be offered....

In almost every case, it’s not the elite level talent that will be at risk of an offer sheets, because they will almost certainly be matched. It’s the second tier players who might not be affordable after the big guns are signed. Like Hjalmarsson back in the day. The compensation for these players is also a lot more palatable to the team making the offer.

It seems like he has been since the end of the year. There were a number of "whispers" and "reports" that the Preds were one of the top (if not number 1) destination for him.

You would have to think something would have to give with Johanson at $8M, Turris at $6M and Bonino at $4.1M (I believe he is their "4th" center). I can't imagine Duchene comes in at lower than $8M right?

- Chunk

Nashville would love to dump Turris

The player has to sign the offer sheet and be willing to play for the amount being offered - before the offer sheet can be presented to the team. What player is going to agree to play for $1.2M?
- EbonyRaptor

Be nice if someone did that to Perlini so we don't have to watch him float all over the ice.

We should be questioning Stan's timing with this draft pick, it's all wrong.

I see where Boston wants to move Backes (2 years remaining at 6M). With he and Perry available, someone can obtain them and have 2/3 of a douchebag line.

Regarding Saad and Anisimov, and the value they hold with their cost controlled contracts, the question is do the Hawks value those contracts more than other teams that may be calling about them. If the right trade scenario arises, does Stan move them?

All they would have to do then is trade for Marchand, and they'd have the ultimate douchebag line!

Inteersting how things turn full circle, Toronto and Vegas take on thecontracts of Horton and Clarkson because they have the room and valued the sweetner, and now they are the ones desperate to trade the contracts.

The problem for Toronto in this case is they don’t have the cap space. They have 17 players signed at 74.2M, with the cap looking more like it’s going to end up at $81.5M.

Maple Sugar Harvest Shacks set up to sell maple syrup products. Big in Quebec. Can also refer to buildings where ladies remove all of their clothing.
- Z3Hawk

So that’s pretty standard throughout Canada - and not just Quebec?

Like I posted earlier, I was at one that was more restaurant than actual maple processing house, but man was it good. I think I ate my body weight in foie gras.

We’d have to be more specific and label it the old, washed-up douchebag line.

Looks like Wiz has swung to a new choice at #3 Kirby Dach.

Maybe he is just covering all his bases so when the Hawks pick, he will say he had that guy going to the Hawks, haha.

Does anybody know how Joe P (SJ) scouting is right now? how is his skating? everybody is different. hossa was still a great skater and had great balance at 35 others like Seabs do not. if the cap comes in at 81.5 I don't see how they can keep him. how do you think he would slot either on line 1 of 3 line center?

Phillip Broberg is a Mattias Ekholm type but less hype bc he's not an offensive stud. That, and the forward group is pegged as exceptional and deep.

Can skate with anyone in defending up and dow ice. Replaces Keith eventually. But do not expect him to be drafted by us.
