Tracy has zoomed up the ratings and wiz retains him as Chicago's 2nd round selection.

I read about him inThe Athletic feature and his weight is only 170. He sounds like a talented prospect who is not going to fail. In fact i wonder if he compares to Zegras. However this may not be the type need style player but he well may be the best player available.

Ek's got a rumor of Burakovsky from the Caps going to EDM. He is another one that I would think Stan would be interested in. Low cap number and "unfulfilled potential". I'm on record saying that I don't want too many projects on the team, but I could see that he might be interested there.

Welcome, Drumon.

Taking the torch and skating with it sounds like a future core player. Any of the projected top 7-10 seem like they could be part of a new core for the Blackhawks or any other team for that matter.

Could any be the cream of the crop of that new core, i.e. the face of the franchise like Toews or Kane? My gut says (in no particular order) Turcotte, Zegras, or Byram could be.

I would be all over Tuch. Completely different dimension than anything on their roster and probably cheaper than Anders Lee

Karlsson took a chance on himself and agreed to a 1 yr deal at $5.25M when they couldn't agree on a long term deal.

And then George McPhee went on a season long drunk and gave Paccioretty $7M, Stastny $6.5M and Mark Stone $9.5M. Now there is no money for Karlsson.

Stan should be squeezing McPhee's nuts real hard for Karlsson or Alex Tuch or Shea Theodore. And if McPhee hasn't sobered up yet ask him for Cody Glass too.

It's seriously unlikely Vegas would deal Karlsson - he's their 1C and 2nd highest point producer who boosts their top points producer. I also don't believe they'd give him away for peanuts - it might not be his full value but he's still a top line center on a team that went to the finals just one season ago. When Boston was in cap trouble and had to move Hamilton, they got a 1st (15th) + 2nd + 2nd. So there was pressure but if the player is still good, the deal won't be for leftovers.

The reports are that Vegas is trying to move Pacioretty or Stastny for forwards and Miller for d-men. Because of the cap situation, they might have to make lopsided trades but those are the higher priced guys they'll move. Eakins, Haula, and/or Reaves are obv next options for a bit more room, though Tuch could go too if they got a real package of prospect/picks/ELC players they liked.

I know I just got here, but believe me IF William Karlsson wants to be reasonable about a new deal with the Hawks that might really work.

He is perfect addition for them.
I think he was like 46% in the dot, but this guy is poised to round out the pivot position with the type of wingers he can play with on the Hawks.
I think he won more face-offs than anybody else on Vegas and probably falls right behind Tazer if he joins the hawks in taking theI dunno I would pay him 6 mil...
