The Hawks have so many bottom pair defenders still on the books (not to mention having a few guys in Rockford that might be close) that you would expect this is where most of their movement is going to come from.

"Little Lars" or "Wild Bill", whatever you want to call him, would be an awesome add. My guess is his next deal is 8 years, $52-54 million (aav 6.5-6.75). He can be a 30 goal scorer, great possession player, Selke vote potential, kills penalties. Not great on faceoffs, however.

If such a deal were to go down, either Strome won't get a long term deal, or Hawks aren't drafting a C tomorrow.

One rule change I would like to see is when a penalty shot is called - the team getting the penalty shot would have the option of taking the penalty shot or getting a 2 minute power play. Depending on the game situation - the team may want to take 2 minutes off the clock rather than taking a chance of not scoring on the penalty shot and no time coming off the clock.

Too long. Though, TBF, until the Rose injury they actually looked like a team that might go somewhere. They aren't going anywhere with GarPax at the helm and Reinsdorf still kicking.
