Looking at the second rd I like the idea of no Dmen at all. Lotsa forwards in there to take. Get this forward prospect group as deep as the D has become, and goalie for that matter
I like-
Beecher
Grewe
Mastrosimone
Tracey
Foote

I agree with Karine's assessment about Lavoie ... I'm not sold on him either.
The team's needs should always be considered first before a player's birth place (or mother tongue). I don't care if the guy speaks only Bulgarian or whatever, as long as he can help the team win then I'm happy.
I like the Cam York pick. |

I would rather keep the picks.
I would consider it for Danault. I'm not sur KK is ready to play in the top 6 just yet and we have not seen much from Poehling but I think Bergevin should still think about it. You do it if Duchene ends up in Montreal, but it's not likely he will. - deadpoulet
Pretty much about what I figured. I gotta think there should be some reasonable competition for Leddy's services out there though so, hopefully for us, I would imagine his return would be pretty good. Don't see any reason he's not worth a top 6 forward. |

Word is that Trouba had no issue with playing for the Jets, nor in the city of Winnipeg. It was mainly family related, and due to his fiancee's career goal to become a doctor, after just graduating from medical school in preparing to start her internship, as to why it was more suitable for him to play hockey in the U.S., and in a city to well accommodate both's careers. - RangerSaver
thats what i mean. he woundnt sign w/ a Canadian team if his wife couldn't be licensed in that city/country. |

It’s weird how the L R thing has become such a huge thing, if Leddy was RH he’d probably get more these kids should all grow up being righty |

For me, you can never have enough reasons to be a Ranger...add “my lady wants to be a doctor” to the list |

I'm intrigued by Vancouver. Losing Edler is going to be a big blow to the left side of their defense. I could see them as a real nice fit for Leddy |

I don't watch enough Canucks games to really know for sure, but I do know that Leddy is absolutely worth more than a guy who's averaged .28ppg in his career, even a young guy like him. |

just a thought, and I am probably the biggest fan of acquiring Adam Fox, but since there is so much depth on the blueline, maybe the most prudent thing to do next year is to keep Adam Fox in Hartford for 53 games next year, call him up for last 29 and keep that pick going to Carolina a 3rd rounder
but, it's just a thought, if he's obviously NHL ready in training camp, (frank) it |

If you think about the Dpairs in 2 years (after the Ssshyt trio are gone), it looks terrific:
Skjei-Trouba
Miller-Fox
Hajek-DA/Nils
Lindgren/Rykov/Keane
It reminds me a lot of St Louis right now, which is ideally how you want your defense nowadays. Mobile big men and faster puck movers, a combo of both
I realize, we do need a lot to happen for it to be considered a good/great D, a lot would be depending on Miller and Fox. But on paper it looks really nice down the road
Just realized, 5 Americans on D |

It wouldn't be the worst idea in the world. I don't think it's a stretch to say hes our 4th best RD right now. He hasn't played an NHL game yet and we don't know if he's ready. We don't have to throw the kid to the wolves now. |

I know it won't happen, but I would pay to see the look on his face if the Rangers traded Adam Fox |
