Provy should not even be in any trade conversations. He is the future of the defense. I consider Myers right behind. God I hope that neither of those two are trade candidates.
- RustyPipes

I agree, I would be disappointed with Provy, Sanheim, or Myers were dealt.

Here is a question to ponder. How was Eva Braun a -14 on a 101 point team that had a +28 goal differential.

-1000 in my book 😉

Pretty easily he did not get any pp time. He was their highest minute PK defenseman. Sharks score a lot of their points on the pp. They scored over 25% of their goals on the pp. He also as mentioned before was the sharks shutdown pairing drawing the hardest defensive assignments.

Overpay Hayes now and the flyers back to their old ways will be complete. It's truly amazing. Literally can't get out of their own way.

Provy-Nisky
Braun-Sanheim
Myers-Hag
Morin

Ghost for scoring winger and pick?

- Deasr1

The Flyers defense sucked last year... Sure part of it was the goalie situation, but the defense overly exposed our poor goaltending.

I see the defense moves as a upgrade, but not much different than last year. Nisky replaces AMAC, and Braun replaces Gudas. Both replacements are better defensively than who they're replacing. We need Nisky and Braun to be able to handle the puck well, but we don't need them to be offensive, we've got the young guns to that piece.

Provy, Sanheim, Ghost are "in"... Myers, Hagg, and Morin fight it out for the two spots in camp. IF - a big if - a good trade pops up we have a defenseman to throw into the deal. Depending on the value coming back, and what else we throw into the deal determines if Ghost is part of the deal.

Just a thought. With Karlsson re signed and Trouba in New York those were two big defense options for teams.

Could the value of Gostisbehere now be higher? Could you hypothetically turn him into a Domi and 15 type of deal using Montreal as an example.

Also isn't the 2019 2nd rounder we traded the last pick of the 2nd round? Not too bad considering we have a pipeline full of prospects. Sometimes you gotta trade picks and acquire vets. These young D studs need some vet leadership who can play. Excited to see what is to come.

Do i understand the trade for Braun. Not right now. Do I hate it. No. I see what he adds. Not every player is going to be a Ferrari. Sometimes you need those workman type Broncos.

I'll let things play out and see where this goes. I do understand it as a support move for our young d.

But I also have to assume there are more moves coming.

- J35Bacher

feel the same, they say you need 10 D for a season, we don't have NHL D in LHV, to some extent they needed to add a body.

hoping there is something bigger coming and I believe there is.

A 2nd and 3rd is a lot for an AMac replacement. Fletcher has a blockbuster in mind. Hopefully Marner or Nylander. A dman is on his way out.
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

Absolutely a young dman is gone. I expect ghost or someone traded. I guess the idea is trade from that area of strength to help out the forward corp. problem I have is sending a 2nd and 3rd for a one year rental coming off a terrible year? Terrible.

he had 2 good seasons where he was a good shutdown dman then he went to poop. and we didnt give much up for grossman did we?
- Richieattack18

The only thing he shut down was the Flyers chances of getting out of their own zone.

I'm taking this move as a signal that they're going to made a big splash at forward his trade. Benn, Seugin or Liane would be my immediate guesses.

Agree, I think we can all agree Ghost is the most likely with Sanheim taking over PP 1 spot. If/when he is traded, this is the move that will have the biggest impact, even greater then signing Hayes.

That or Morins starting in minors. Given the lack of time morin has played over last year or two. I expect a big trade is more likely

No way Morin would clear waivers. Not a chance.
