Well, I would look at who's up against the Cap. Vegas, Pittsburgh, etc.. and who also could use a Dman. Hmmmm

So to break down this trade. Overpayment in terms of assets, for a 32 year old rental. Not to mention SJ does not retain any salary.

Vintage Flyers. Same poop, different year. A franchise that can't get out of their own way.

This franchise needs a leafs style purge. More than anything.

True - apparently we recently aquired two vets who can get the puck up the ice quickly. That is important.

Well our D corps is getting a bit older but are they getting better and actually playing Defense?

Do Braun and Niskanen add more structured D zone play and less "chicken without heads" brand of defending?

MAybe Fletcher thought our defense was too young. Two picks is a lot though.
